I live 10 ...maybe 15 on a busy day from the ferry. Called car service for a ride this morning at say 7:04. They came quickly and by 7:13 had arrived. I noticed within the first 40 seconds that the driver was driving very slowly. Miraculously, there were no trucks on the street which leads us to Richmond Terrace. He was driving 5 miles per hour!! When he got on Richmond Terrace, he drove slower than the car before him (2 car lengths). I told him I needed to catch the 7:30 ferry. His response as he slowed to a light that was still green, was, "You might make it". The light promptly turned yellow and he made a full stop. He proceeded the rest of the ride in this fashion. Instead of waiting for him to catch each light in St. George, (there are 3 or 4 before you get to ferry entrance), I had him let me off at the outlets AND walked AND made my boat!!! He got the fare NO TIP!! Will never ever take them again!!! Not sure if he wanted me to say that there was something extra if he made the boat, not sure if he just didn't give a damn, not sure of anything BUT know I will not be using them again. read more

Access a ride contracts with delta, and I have had a nightmare each of the three times I tried to use them. 1st time said there were no available cars. 2nd time 45 minutes late to pick me up. 3rd time supposed to pick me up at 9.15pm, called me at 9.41pm to say they would not have a car for at least another hour, leaving me stranded in an unsafe area. Avoid like the plague. read more

I called for a cab and was told it would be 5 to 6 minutes. After waiting for 20 minutes i called back and was told 2 more minutes. I then waited 10 additional minutes and was told it would 2 more minutes and they would discount my fair by $2.00. Finally after 35 minutes my cab arrives and to my surprise there are 2 passengers already in the back seat. So i called back to question the young lady about this and she sais THATS THE REASON she gave me a discount. I replied with "no you didn't! You discounted my faredue to you being 30 minutes late. She then asks me if i just want to wait fir a different car all together. I just took the cab since i was already late to my destination.... But never again will i use them. She was never evrn apologetic read more

A visiting aide comes to the house to help take care of my father. Twice within the last two weeks she has made a reservation to be picked up at 5PM. She called to confirm the pickup the day of, and the dispatcher told her 30 mins. After 30 mins, there was no cab. The aide called again, and the dispatcher put her on hold. Finally I called to speak to the dispatcher. He was rude and began yelling at me when I asked why I was waiting for a cab for over an hour. He began to tell me there was traffic and the guy was by the mall. Well, 6pm rolled around and still no cab in sight. I called back again and asked the dispatcher for his name, and his supervisor's name. If they do not call or no action is taken, I would like to take this story to the Advance or something. This service is extremely rude and unprofessional. I do not recommend using them. read more

I just witnessed a Delta car driver pick up an elderly woman he watched the woman struggle down her steps with her Walker. I guess this annoyed him. He got out grabbed the Walker from her. This made her unstable he folded up the Walker threw it in the car and didn't even open the door for her. I called the company I was told to mind my own business and was hung up on. Please don't let your vulnerable loved ones use them. read more

I have always travelled in Delta Car Service and I met a few nice drivers, but today I had a very bad experience. Today I needed a car from SI University Hospital to my house, so I called for a car at 3:25PM, the dispacher told me it would be 20 minutes, I was Ok with that. I waited 20 minutes and no car showed up, so I called again to see about my car and the dispacher told me, in a nasty way, that it had been only 10 minutes since my call and that I had to wait another 15 minutes, I still was OK with that, 15, 20, 25 minutes passed and I called again, and again in a nasty was he informed me the car is around the corner from you and it should be there shortly, Again I waited and again called, he said the car was a block away. In total I waited and hour and a half, with this dispacher making a fool of me. Finally, the car showed up, it was an old ripped up car and it smelled like hell, so I told the driver that I had waited so long, but he was very nice and apologized and said the dispacher was a jerk. I told him that it was very unprofessional the way they ran the business. I would never recommend them to anybody. I give them a zero rating. read more

They are a very reliable car service in staten island. excellent airport prices & on time ,clean car service. thank you bert read more

THEY NEVER SHOWED UP!!! We called every ten minutes and were told the driver is just minutes away. After 35 minutes, and being afraid we would miss our flight, we drove to the airport, put the car in long term parking and had to spend $200 for the parking. If you want to get where you're going, call another car service. read more

If you are in Staten Island and are looking for a car service, this isn't the one to use. On January 12 around 4pm I was at Staten Island mall. I have a pain in my leg and couldn't walk for a long distance and I didn't have coins for the bus. So i decided to use a cab. I called a different car service and they said 20 min, so i didn't use them. Then i called Delta car service and the operator said 15 min. I said thats fine and began to wait. 30-40 min go by and i didn't see the car so i called back to see how long. The operator said 5-10 min. I said ok. 20 min go by and i don't see the car. So i call again. The operator said 5-10 min i said ok. Another 20-25 min go by and the car was still not at my location so now i was annoyed and i called back again to see where the car was. And the operator put me on hold for about 3 min. So now i was annoyed so i hung up and called again and asked to speak to a manager. The operator said ok and put me on hold for about 2-3 min then took me off of hold and said "hold on I'm going to give you to the manager" and then put me on hold for another 5-6 min. Then the operator tells me the manager is not there. And i hear laughter in the background so i asked where is my driver. The operator put me on hold again for about 20 sec and tells me "the driver got a flat its going to be another 15 min" So i said forget it and the operator said ok. So now i had to walk to the bus stop and ask the bus driver to let me on. So now here's the statistics the initial time for the car arrival was 15 min. I waited about 1 hr and 30 min and didn't even get the car and the operator and he/she peers were snickering in the background. If you enjoy that type of service then go for it but if you enjoy correct estimated arrival time and respectful operators then this car service is not the car service you should choose. I hope what i have wrote will help you save an hour of annoyance. read more

worst car service on staten island. i called for a cab i was told 5 minutes i waited 30 minutes and then when the cab pulled up soon as i sat down the cab driver told me he didnt care if he was late he dont want me to say anything to him or he will throw me out of his cab. meanwhile i didnt even sit all the way in the seat yet nor did a word come out of my mouth. he was very rude the whole way which was rather surprising to me because eventhough he showed up 30 minutes late i just wanted to finally get to my destination so i did not complain to him at all. it was just an overall bad experience and i will not use them again. i shouldve learned from the first time i took them. my very first experience with delta the cab driver showed up high and during the entire ride yelled out the window at any overweight person we would drive past. it was very awkward but i guess i didnt learn my lesson bc i used them again and boom i experienced the curse out of my life bc he was late. awful and i will never use these ppl ever again. i have officially learned my lesson. read more
