The Rep that boarded me allowed my bags an extra 4lbs and an extra 9lbs without charging me. I'm grateful.

A Clean Airport with a Minor Setback but a Smooth Experience Overall!…read more Traveling can be unpredictable, and sometimes things happen that are completely outside of anyone's control. My recent experience at Shreveport Regional Airport was a good reminder of that. Airport Experience: When we arrived, the airport was experiencing a power outage. Naturally, this created an unexpected interruption to the travel process. However, once the power was restored, things began moving smoothly again. I appreciated how the experience improved once normal operations resumed. Cleanliness & Ambiance: One thing that stood out to me was how clean the airport was. Cleanliness makes a difference in any public facility, especially an airport where travelers are constantly coming and going. A well-maintained environment helps make the overall travel experience more pleasant. Overall Experience: Although the power outage wasn't ideal, I understand that unexpected situations can occur. What mattered most was that things moved smoothly once electricity was restored. Overall, Shreveport Regional Airport left me with a positive impression. Despite the temporary inconvenience, the clean environment and smooth operations afterward made for a good experience.

I'm not going to fault Allegiant for this FAA/COVID/REGULATION/MANDATES. At this juncture, that's beyond all of our control. But, what I will confirm is, they have a specific schedule of flights, mostly twice a week. I genuinely like them, and they're my first choice flying between these two cities.

I get to the Shereveport airport there is no one at the desk. Then TSA was holding everyone's bags (five bags ) ahead of me. I explained to the TSA agent I had a disability and requested chair service on my ticket. She saw my placard in my bag. She went through each item in my bag. I arrived to the gate to watch the plane push back from the gate. I asked the gate attendant when was the next flight she said Friday. Today is Monday. Someone from the flight crew said well you should've been here 45 minutes ago and started laughing and so did the rest of the people at the gate that work for Allegiant. I said I didn't find it. Funny I had a disability. I explained that to them and I got there as soon as I could. Then someone said, "Well, we didn't see anybody left." Well, that's because I was having a problem checking in. It's not funny to laugh at people. Nobody knows what I went through to get to the airport in the first place. But I was able to finally get a flight out on United for $538. I think my concern is the customer service. I feel like the TSA worker is the one that really caused the main issue. And people were saying they were getting the shake down at TSA. I agree with that terminology.

My room itself was nice and comfortable, but the bathroom sink had terrible drainage, which became pretty frustrating during the stay. The bar downstairs is definitely lively and it serves food. Multiple Room Problems and an Unprofessional, Confrontational Manager…read more I am staying at this Hilton property in Shreveport while visiting for a professional commitment, and this has been an extraordinarily disappointing experience. When I checked in Wednesday evening, the bathtub in my first room was heavily stained with ingrained discoloration and rust. I immediately requested another room without unpacking or using the room. There was no inconvenience to the hotel; the room was ready for another guest. My second room was otherwise excellent, but the shower had no hot water. I reported the problem the following morning, but my concern was dismissed. That evening, after running the shower for 30 minutes without the water warming up, I reported it again. Maintenance finally confirmed that the shower had no hot water and that repairs would require access through the adjoining room. Consequently, I had to pack all my belongings and move immediately before a business dinner commitment. Because of the lack of hot water, I had been unable to shower Wednesday evening or Thursday morning and evening. Rather than apologizing for the considerable inconvenience caused by the hotel's own maintenance problems and offering me a suitable alternative, the manager assigned me a room beside the industrial ice machine, vending machines, and housekeeping area. When I expressed concern about the noise, he insisted that I stand in the room with him at approximately 7 p.m. to establish that I could not hear the ice machine at that particular moment. This did not address my entirely reasonable concern about overnight noise. As I feared, the ice machine woke me during the night, and housekeeping noise disturbed me in the morning. I am now trying to rest and am still being disturbed by the sound of ice dropping into the machine. The top sheet also had a noticeable hole. I have photographs of both the stained bathtub and the damaged sheet. When I asked for earplugs, the manager told me, "I am not buying you ear plugs." I already felt this manager's contempt the night before so instead of asking to be moved, I asked for earplugs. I wouldn't even be writing this review if he'd just provided earplugs this morning. A $1.00, or less, solution. When I explained that the ice machine had awakened me, he said that if he moved me again, he would move me out of the hotel. He also suggested that I should accept the possibility of further problems because there was no guarantee another room would be better. I am a music industry executive who has traveled extensively around the world on behalf of major corporations. I have stayed in hotels across the globe, and I understand the difference between an unavoidable maintenance issue and a failure of customer service. Problems can happen in any hotel. What distinguishes a good property is how management responds. Rather than profusely apologizing for the inconvenience of having to pack and move rooms a second time, immediately before a business dinner commitment, the manager moved me into what was arguably one of the worst rooms on the floor and treated me as though I were a difficult guest. The hotel's failure to provide hot water necessitated my second move. That was not an inconvenience of my making. Yet I was made to feel unreasonable for raising legitimate concerns about the accommodations I was given in its place. I should not have to endure substandard accommodations, lost sleep, and an unnecessarily confrontational response simply because I expect basic amenities and professional courtesy. I was not asking for special treatment. I was asking for a clean bathtub, reliable hot water, and a room away from noisy machinery and employee work areas. These are reasonable expectations, not extravagant demands. Hilton should take these complaints seriously, address the condition of its rooms, and reconsider how its management treats guests who raise legitimate concerns. The original room problems were bad enough. The manager's response is what made this experience considerably worse. Bottom line is that besides the poor customer service from the Assistant Manager, this Hilton is in need of a refresh.
