Oh my god she's so nice! She was very very attentive and listened to the problems I was having, asked about the products I used and educated me about the products they carried. We shared about the difficulties that our skin went through when moving to Paris because of the hard water. Honestly, words can't describe how sweet and caring she is--she offered to sample anything I wanted to try (she bottles it herself) and she understood I was carrying only a limited amount of Euros so I had to watch my budget! The products are working great so far and I can't wait to come back to buy the rest of what I was sampled. Buy a tube of YSL gloss, and they give you a nice size YSL gloss in a brand spanking new color they haven't quite promoted. Samples at Sephora Paris today are the generous size I remember my mom getting when I was like 4. Her sample bag was almost as big as the full size cosmetic items she was buying. A field day for a 4 year old or the 24 year old.

I use a hair dryer and flat iron at least a couple of days per week because I have a thick, wild mane and despite it being straight, it's often unruly... unless there's a good amount of deliberate intervention. And because I'd prefer to use hair appliances that actually work to their full potential, I skipped buying a 'dual voltage' flat iron while still in the States and instead opted to purchase one in France. If you think about the math, it works out: 35 EUR for an appliance that you'll actually own for future trips to Europe vs. a single blowout at the same cost. Convinced yet? Actually en route to the Monoprix in search of said flat iron, I noticed Cyra Lydo and decided to stop in. And I'm glad I did: I had at least a dozen flat irons to choose from... everything from travel-size Babyliss irons selling for 25 EUR to high-end heat tools. I picked a mid-range appliance and was quickly on my way. Result = good hair days throughout the duration of my trip, save for the day I was drenched in unexpected downpour. Tip for American travelers: Don't forget that the maximum temperature is expressed in Celsius vs. Fahrenheit!

One thing I absolutely adore about this particular Sephora is the amount of helpful employees around the store ready to help you with anything. Not 100% sure what I was walking into, I initially asked if i was able to make my own scent which is truly my number 1 want in Paris, which they did not do. But what they did do is set you up sort of on a scent journey based on your current fragrances and help you find a signature scent. You sit at their bar where they offer you coffee or water. Complete a profile and based on that they will tell where you base, head, and heart notes lie and will show you 5 scents. You smell them without knowing which is which. You rank them and based on that you get a batch of new scents. And then from there you narrow it down to four. They then spray four on your arms and then you pick your number 1 to wear. There was absolutely no sales pressure. I could have walked out with just samples or i could have bought everything. It was amazing. I bought two colognes and lefts with maybe ten samples? I loved it. The staff was amazing. The place was absolutely perfect. I would do this over and over again.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Nose…read more My parcel never arrived, yet Nose considers the matter resolved based on a proof of delivery. The signature shown on the delivery document is not my signature and is completely unknown to me. I provided Nose with a copy of my ID showing my actual signature and also submitted a sworn statement (affidavit) confirming that I did not receive or sign for the parcel. In addition, I was at work at the alleged time of delivery. What I find particularly disappointing is that these important points have not been properly addressed. Instead, I was simply informed that the parcel was confirmed as delivered and that I should contact my bank if I wished to contest the decision. I expected Nose to take the situation seriously, investigate the unknown signature and properly consider the evidence I provided. Unfortunately, I have not received a satisfactory response addressing these specific issues. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Nose. The way this delivery dispute has been handled has been extremely frustrating and has left me feeling that my evidence and concerns have not been taken seriously.
