They were much better than my expectation, and I was surprised a how big the bouquets were, and how they perfectly matched the inspiration photos that I sent them. I'm beyond happy with them, and they held up for multiple days after when I reused my haku lei and bouquet for another wedding dress shoot 2 days after the wedding. Very delayed review for a November 2013 destination wedding. Outcome of wedding flowers designs were on par and gorgeous. Last minute venue detail changes were handled very nicely by this florist. I loved all my wedding vendors, but this one honestly gave me the most stress. This florist was the most expensive of the 3 vendors I was looking into. The reason why I booked them was because they were the only florist that sent me photos/concepts/visually and since I was planning from CA, it was nice to see they understood my wedding theme. The anxiety part was the communication portion during the planning part. I had a wedding planner that communicated with Trish most of the time, but the confusing thing was trying to stay within my budget. I could not tell through the initial quote if I would be able to stay within my budget. As we talked through the months, it just seemed amounts were going higher and higher. So since I thought maybe things got confusing through my planner, I emailed Trish directly at times. I didn't really know what was going to happen until the 6 week prior walkthrough, which she ended up not calling me on time, I think it was a delay of 2 hours or so. Trish did an initial sketch diagram and I was really anxious to discuss and have the final look set. Payment was a bit of a hassle too. I'm on time with all of my payments and I was able to pay with credit card for deposit, but for some reason for final payment I had to pay through ChasePay and the site wasn't working for me at that time. They didn't trust my direct deposit bank Ally and stressed me out saying if I didn't pay immediately, I would not have flowers. So, last minute, I just had to do it the Paypal way. In the end, things went well, but seriously for a destination wedding, I would have liked better communication, just for peace of mind. I booked Della for my Maui destination wedding. I had a specific idea of how I wanted my bouquets and table centerpieces. I sent her photos & spoke on the phone with her. On the day of the wedding, my bridal bouquet, 6 bridesmaids bouquets, groom maile lei, 8 centerpieces, welcome table flowers, wedding cake flowers were exactly how I envisioned them. Even with the Maui heat & humidity, my flowers looked gorgeous all day long! I did not want the bright tropics flowers. I really wanted the soft pastel lush look of roses & peonies. Dellables did a lovely job for our wedding, but there were some hiccups along the way that I wasn't too pleased with. So while I would recommend them, there are a few things to look out for if you go with them. I did reach out to them once and they never got back to me, so I just communicated through my wedding planner and everything was fine. So I never interfaced with them directly at all. First of all, the bouquets and centerpieces were absolutely stunning. They truly followed my request of colors and textures. The arch was beautiful and the side flowers were generous (though the draping was slightly off centered - but I'm probably the only one that noticed that). Nice simple job with cocktail table bud vases and nice job with flower decorations on the welcome table, though that was a bit sparse and I would have loved to see their signature creativity come out there. Aisle flowers and petals path were beautiful and they had the flower girl throw different colored petals which was a nice touch. One disappointment was the ribbon that held my bouquet together bled pink all over my hands. It took quite a bit of scrubbing to get the color off and I'm just grateful I did not touch my white dress! My coordinator was wonderful and rewrapped it for me. Probably the most disappointing was the hair flowers. I had sent photos of what I wanted - a large fuchsia flower. And a large red one for when I change into a red dress (Chinese tradition). I didn't get a large fuchsia flower but rather, a bunch of small maroon flowers. My hairdresser pinned a bunch on together but it wasn't the right color and not the look I was hoping for. The red flower was just hideous - like a mum which would look so weird in hair and did not go with my dress at all. So that was a bit of a waste. My lei broke soon after the ceremony (bad sign??) but my husband's stayed in tact and looked amazing. Still, I would recommend them. All in all, everything was stunning and the hiccups I experienced are likely things only the bride would notice. :) read more

Della is a true artist when it comes to amazing bridal flowers. We were just thrilled with the outcome. I gave very little guidance and trusted her judgement and was super thrilled with the result. Our flowers were best in class truly stunning. Della has a fantastic reputation on the island with other vendors, she's the go-to for flowers and I can see why! My only feedback is that Trish is a little weird on her communication style, the coordinator, I ran into a moment where I did consider using another florist. I had to just walk away and do the math about losing that 20% deposit, then came back with hesitation, but did come back.....that said, I decided I really wanted to work with Della because her bouquets are all over every maui wedding blog out there. I'm sure Trish means well, she just doesn't have de-escalation skills when questions arise. However, and she did definitely stick to the budget which is great and the flowers turned out fantastic. We worked with Trish to coordinate everything beforehand. Trish was very prompt at returning emails and worked through several iterations of ideas with me on reception decore. We had a lot of changes to the layouts of tables and Trish worked through all of these with me. There was a slight miscommunication on the day we were supposed to meet with Della, but Trish worked to arrange for a meeting at Starbucks. Della was so excited about everything and had excellent creative ideas for everything. I told Della what I want for my bouquet and then just ideas for our reception space. I pretty much gave Della free reign and told her our colors and use tropical flowers. Everything turned out amazingly, absolutely beautiful. read more

Dellables did my wedding in September and I couldn't be happier with them. My photographer, Joanna Tano, refered me to them and I couldn't be happier with the result. I had a really limited budget and they helped me come up with a way to have beautiful flowers and stay within my budget. In the end what we agreed upon was: Dellables would put together the bouquets, the boutonnieres, and the arch, they then delivered a huge amount of beautiful flowers that my family arranged on the tables, they also provided stands for us to put the flowers on. This worked out great for me, and was the best option with my small budget. The flowers they delivered for friends and family to arrange were beautiful, we ended up with enough flowers to not only decorate the wedding tables, but also the bar, the catering table, and other areas of the reception. The bouquets & boutonnieres were beautiful, Della is an artist. Trish was really easy to work with, and helped guide me through the process. I live in California and was worried about working remotely with a florist, but Trish was so fabulous, the distance was not really an issue. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with them. One of my bridesmaids was helping plan her brother's wedding and when she saw the quality of the flowers, and how easy to work with the dellables staff was she recommend them to her brother's fiance. read more

I began to work with Trish initially based on a recommendation from our church (Sacred Heats Mission). Trish was amazing to work with & even helped us narrow down reception venues. Trish left but I was immediately contacted by America. She took over the account but knew exactly what we wanted. The transition was an easy one. America was just as accommodating. I considered going with Dellables for my destination wedding in Maui based off of their Instagram. I emailed twice and never heard back. I later called to find out the status of my initial request and Della claimed she had never received an inquiry via email from me (even though I submitted the request through their website.) After talking with her (the one time) she sent me an invoice estimate (really?!) When I emailed a reply asking about aisle runners and church arrangements, I NEVER HEARD BACK. I tried calling and NEVER HEARD BACK. Maybe she felt I wasn't spending enough on my destination wedding - who knows. The cherry-on-top was when she emailed me 4 days before my wedding date to ask if I had decided to go with a different florist (my jaw literally dropped!) Luckily, I found a MUCH better florist - one that was responsive, caring and understanding to my vision. I suppose it was a blessing in disguise. read more

Extraordinary vision and design, exceptional customer service! I really didn't know exactly what I wanted in wedding floral arrangements, just lots of color and none of the "blush" stuff overwhelmingly trending right now... so I simply gave Dellables complete creative freedom to come up with something beautiful. Honestly, I didn't pick a single flower or arrangement... and everyone was completely blown away! I was moved to tears of love at first sight, and our guests quickly flooded social media with dozens of floral-filled pictures before our ceremony even started (I had to turn my phone notifications off to stop looking from inside and go get married). All of the flowers were incredibly fresh and wonderfully arranged, with just the right touch of delicate tossed in here and there ... so many stunning colors, so magically mixed and matched! Just stunning. And much to my hubby's chagrin, I literally hauled our flowers around for the whole week we stayed after the wedding. I absolutely OBSESSED over how beautiful the flowers for my wedding were last year. So much more than I could have expected, they were beyond perfect. We even got to enjoy the centerpieces for a few days before embarking on our honeymoon. As for my bouquet, I ended up leaving it behind on the island. Someone died in a car crash directly across the street from the condo we had rented that same night. My husband and I walked over the following morning and repurposed the bouquet. I also have had mixed feelings on writing a review, however, coming from the mainland and planning a wedding from here...I believe in YELP, and I would want to know other peoples experiences to help guide me into making more informed choices. I felt confused from the moment I started planning my wedding from CA. I hired a coordinator, but felt as though I did most of my planning per se. Once I had a coordinator in place, I felt as though communicating with Della became easier (ie...e-mail responses to questions, etc) She was very thorough in answering all of my questions and providing pictures of examples to show me. I too fell in love with her collections and design eye. She is very talented and creative, and so, I was excited to work with her. The day of the wedding came, and lucky for me, I hired a second coordinator from CA to come over, and he was able to intercept the bouquets before they came to my room. Unfortunately, he was unable to remove all of the bugs from the bouquet and we had to keep them outside for a bit to "de-bug" them before pictures. Della's assistant was nice from what I was told, but I really expected Della to be there...which in itself was a disappointment. The ginger leis, (again from what my bridesmaids told me) smelled liked laundry that was sitting for a few days....musty and mildew like. I presented two of them, and they were not as fresh as I would have liked... Also in the mix, the cake flowers were completely wrong....I had wanted cascading orchids, but got roses instead...(small detail I know, but from a year of planning, super disappointing to say the least...) I knew I was going to have to dispute the issues with her after I was meeting my father before I went to meet my new husband and I was batting ants off of my dress that were coming from my bouquet...just too bad! To make a longer story shorter....I did try to handle these issues with her while on the island, but we played phone tag for a few calls, then I didn't hear from her. After I came back to CA, she did call, but I had already called AMEX to dispute the issues I had with the flowers...After discussing this with the wedding coordinator. Della, and Della's assistants...she did refund the monies for the problems encountered. She is quite talented...and like I said earlier....very creative with colors and flowers, however...I would suggest as a bride to go over every single detail with her personally before the big day. Hire a good coordinator that will have your agreed plans in hand and possibly ask Della if she will be present for the flower drop off (in case of any issues...) I believe she stands by her work, which is why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 2... read more

How can someone you've never met know you so well? It only took a few photos of the style I was after and Della put together a flower theme for our wedding that literally blew me away. It was just so so so perfect. From the driftwood arrangements on the tables to the bouquets to the small bursts of color that were so unexpected but fit perfectly with my theme to add something extra special. I don't know if there is a better florist in Maui but I don't think there is any need to find out because Della and her team are damn near perfect. read more

I am having a hard time reconciling the previous reviews for Dellables as I can't believe they could be about the same florist I used for my wedding! I booked Della almost immediately after I got engaged because she is simply amazing. The colors, the way she puts everything together - perfection! When we first talked, I had no idea what I wanted and only had a color pallette in mind, but Della made me feel comfortable right away. Over the year and a half of planning, I changed things multiple times and Della never made me feel crazy or like a burden for changing things. Always super accommodating and wonderful. I finally decided that we were going to do orchids everywhere. My bouquet was beyond stunning - it exceeded my expectations, and it was literally my dream bouquet. The centerpieces were amazing, and we all took them back to our condos afterwards where the flowers thrived for the rest of our stay in Maui. It was nice to bring a bit of the wedding back 'home' to enjoy for a few weeks. Our arch was perfection and again, far exceeded my expectations. Let me start by saying it isn't easy picking your wedding vendors from 4000 miles away. You have to trust your gut instinct and what you read in reviews. The moment I saw Della's website and designs, I knew I wanted her as our wedding florist. It was so easy dealing with her, she returned my emails within 24 hours (good for 'Hawaii-time!!") and was extremely flexible with the changes we made. I communicated with Della completely via email and although she took a few days to respond (I was later told it was peak wedding season in Maui), I was really happy with what she put together in the proposals she emailed through. On the day, my bouquet was even better than I could've imagined and exactly what I asked for in terms of colour and style. This review is a little delayed, but now that things have settled down back home it is definitely overdue. Trish was my point of contact at Dellables, and she ensured our flowers were wonderful. She rang me several times (I am in Sydney, Aust) to ensure she had my vision right and proposed and reworked several colour coded plans to ensure my vision and her ideas and expertise tied in to a beautiful display. I have received so many comments about how opulent and stunning our flowers were, and for the value based on the price I paid I was most impressed with both the amount and quality of the flowers. It was very important to me to know I could trust in the florist I chose, as I would not be meeting them, or seeing their work until our wedding day. Trish is awesome!!! I first spoke to Trish when I called for some information as I was shopping around for a florist in Maui. Not only did she give me an incredible amount of information, much of it in detail, she also was very attentive to me and addressed my concerns, suggesting several options for me to think about. She followed up with me, sending me information and photos and options based on our conversation. I know they are super busy with weddings, but she really made me feel like I was an important client even though we only had the initial consultation. Unfortunately, even with all of Trish's ideas of how to save money on flowers, I won't be able to afford her. The pricing is reasonable, but my budget is just tiny. The service is 5 stars, but I cannot give Dellables 5 stars because I haven't seen their work in person. If our budget was just a bit larger, we would have definitely gone with Dellables! read more

We planned our wedding through A Paradise Deam Wedding (Gordon Nash) and they used Dellables for our flowers. I could not have been happier with my bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets! I sent photos of many different bouquets with notes on what I liked/didn't like on each one and Dellables executed them perfectly! They were so gorgeous and smelled AMAZING!
