Insanity. Madness. Chaos.

As one of only two Huss 'giant Frisbees' in the world, Delirium is a huge pendulum ride that has guests facing outwards with their legs dangling. The 50-person disc swings in a 240° arc (that's 120° in either direction) as it slowly rotates throughout the ride cycle.
Over the 2 minute 30 second ride, you're subjected to up to 4.5G's, which is unnaturally high for an amusement park flat ride. And believe me when I tell ya, you feel EVERY bit of those four-point-five G's. Every. Bit.
Thankfully, those restraints keep your butt planted firmly in its seat (they may even tighten on you mid-ride), which is good because Delirium peaks at 76mph (!!!), making it the fastest ride at Kings Island. That's right, at its lowest point the massive pendulum reaches speeds faster than Banshee, Drop Tower, Flight of Fear, and even Diamondback.
Debuting in Kings Island's 'Action Zone' in 2003, Delirium was the perfect addition to an already-impressive lineup of thrill rides. Due to the tremendous amount of momentum that the disc has, guests waiting in line will feel a noticeable breeze as it passes over the queue, which I've gotta say, feels amazing on a hot summer day.
Seeing it in action is enough to scare away many would-be riders, and it's definitely an extreme thrill ride not for the faint of heart or weak of stomach. But if you can tolerate lines upwards of 30-45min+, then I think you'll agree with me that Delirium absolutely kicks ass.
An absolute MUST ride on your trip to the Cincinnati-area park. You'd be delirious not to. read more
