The whole market is packed to the gills with vendors selling everything - antiques, coins, an incredible amount of used books, household goods, clothing and plenty of plain old junk. It's a popular market so expect big crowds. Prices seemed to be very, very reasonable and you can always try haggling. I brought a small pad of paper since my Polish is pretty much non-existent. It's a great place to pick up unique souvenirs or something fun to add to your collection. There was a shocking (to me, anyway) amount of Nazi stuff on sale, not sure who would want that stuff in their home. The flea market is mostly Sunday and then the stalls have food vendors during the week. If you are in Krakow, it's worth checking out. You'll probably find some pretty cool stuff you didn't know you needed.

The food we had was outstanding. I had the sour rye soup served in a bread bowl. A hearty tangy warm a hug for your stomach on a cold winter's day. It is a meal in itself. My wife had pierogies. They were freshly made and deliciously filling For dessert I treated myself to the scrumptious tiramisu. Rich and creamy with just the right amount of texture and creaminess. U Quina is, as far as I know, the only Asian grocery store in Kraków. It's located in a rather…read moredistanced part of Kraków, hidden in a corner of the King Square mall--Kraków's version of Warsaw's Marywilska 24. The place is very small. The selection is definitely not on par with stores up in Warsaw. Still, you can find a lot of essential stuff there: jasmine rice, rice noodles, various sauces, curry paste, Asian spices etc. Their refrigerators stock some nice frozen seafood. On my first visit I bought a kilo of shrimp and a kilo of calamari for 35 zł and 25 zł--an absolute steal compared to what one has to pay at Alma or Smaki Świata. They also sell vegetable though the selection is meager. A large quantity of lemon grass is available. If that's what you need, you know where to go. The friendly guy at the store also showed me a few taro roots, for which I couldn't readily think of a recipe.

I've never been disappointed with the selection here. The ladies that work here are very attentive and are always ready to give suggestions. I'm a huge fan of the Kasztanki and Tiki Taki. Those are my go-to goodies.
