Delicious is one of many little sandwich shops down Wavertree High Street - I've often thought it would be so cool and chilled out to own one of these places, open up for the morning and lunchtime in a really chilled out and local environment, then shut up for the afternoon. Anyway, back to Delicious - and if I'm honest, it is pretty delicious!
I've been in a few times in the past, but I'll give you an account of my trip this morning. I went along, 10am on a Sunday morning to get some brekkie before heading to sunbathe and Yelp in the park. I walked in and was browsing the menu which does seem a little complicated... so I asked how much it was for a bacon roll. After a lot of deliberating and looking at the menu, the woman seemed to make up a price at £2.40. In the end, I ordered two sausage and bacon rolls which came to a total of £5.20.
I was asked if I wanted any sauce on my rolls, I asked for ketchup on mine (I'm one of those people that has ketchup on everything!), but I forgot to mention that I didn't want butter which was a shame because when I bit into it, it was laden with the stuff. Gutted. The bacon and sausage were cooked fresh, which makes a change for a little sandwich shop. The roll was yummy - just a shame about the butter.
They provide a wide range of stuff such as all day breakfasts, seafood, pasta salads, baguettes, toasties, paninis and serve coffee, all at a pretty good price and the portions are good too. Delicious! read more
