We ate here tonight. Exceptionally average and overpriced food. For a starter we had the lobster bruschetta. 36 lira for a stale roll cut in half with dry, tough, fishy lobster bits and shredded spinach and 2 cherry tomatoes. Big let down. The server was kind enough to request a favor and we were able to get the bone marrow app without having to order the rest of the offal that came with the appetizer. The marrow had literally 2 tiny tiny scoops of marrow inside. Unseasoned. A big disappointment. 20 lira. For mains my husband ordered the shrimp marinara. 40 lira. The shrimps were obviously frozen not fresh. They had a horrible mouthfeel. Very grainy and mushy. Very unappetizing. The marinara was a fishy watery mess. There were some croutons served for dipping that we left untouched as they were sopping wet with fishy marinara. Also the whole dish was tepid. I had duck confit. While I am certain they took liberties with calling it confit (highly doubtful that was the true preparation due to how dry it was) aside from the limp fatty skin and the dryness of the duck, it was ok. 50 lira. Aside from the lack luster food, the service was TERRIBLE. We sat for 30 minutes with our dirty appetizer plates sitting in front of us until finally my husband had to request they be removed. The menus were never taken from our table, I had to bring them to the server myself after 40 minutes. And the kitchen is perhaps the slowest kitchen I have ever witnessed in my life. It's an open kitchen and the chefs were lounging around like it was their living room. It took 1 hour from our app to our main course. Insane!! And so you would think with all that down time the waiter could have cleared our dirty dishes and taken the menus away.. but no. So all in all, average to below average meal. Poor service. Insane wait time. check came to 183.00 lira. Ouch. It was as usual the most Istanbul of dining experiences. read more
