Sinne is located just off the main streets, behind Forum (big shopping mall) and Torni hotel. The…read morespace is divided into two parts: the Deli, where you can just pop in for a bite and a glass, and the 'Garden room' with a bit more formal setting (still fairly relaxed). The Garden room is built in an inner yard with a glass roof, so the space has a lot of light and a nice airy feel. The decoration of the space is nothing special, but there is some green (plants) in the middle of the room which created a nice 'winter garden' feel. Nothing special was needed to make it cozy. The wine list is strong here and they have three sparkling wines by the glass (one regular sparkling and a champagne as well as something that rotates) as well as multiple other wines by the glass. Unfortunately the wine list only has a few of the wines by the glass listed and for the rest you need to ask the sommelier (who is often more interested in saying what he thinks you should drink rather than presenting all the options they have by the glass). The food has been good when I have been here. The food was also wonderful. I has nice glazed pork cheek with heart salad and Malmgård-emmer rice as well as excellent grilled asparagus with mushroom wild rice and pesto. The burger is also nice bit bot as good as some seem to think (and stand your ground to have it medium rare as their medium is too well done). They also have a classic dish if the month, when I tried it they served reindeer with mashed potatoes and lingon berries and that was also good. Food quality is good here and they have an excellent wine list. Service is usually attentive and while it is not cheap it still represents good value for money for the quality level delivered.

Roasberg - The panino styled sandwich was good and the basic coffee was satisfactory

A very fitting city for having coffee with desserts and snacks - 1 of 2…read more I found photos for this business - Roasberg, a coffeehouse - from my 3 day "layover" here. I felt I could put a review together for having visited this location. Before arriving to Helsinki, you make a short list of typical area food, good deals on food, and coffeehouses. Of the latter, there are easily 5 to 10 coffeehouses and you might not visit all of them. Roasberg ought to make that list and it's one of the easiest ones to visit because the main train station - brace yourself: Rautatientori - and this coffeehouse are visually connected, albeit some two blocks apart. Some of the trams that pass in front of the station round a bend in front of Roasberg. I just needed something to eat to tide me over ... or not. I'd decide on whether to eat more later on. I went in to Roasberg and selected a panino like sandwich with deli meats from those in the glass case and drip coffee (which they bill as filtered coffee). Everything was fine. This Nordic country is possibly the easiest to visit because the Euro is their currency. That said, it's quick to deduce from the menu board that the prices are fair. The service was a little perfunctory. However, that's standard because there is no effusiveness anywhere in and around Helsinki, so customer service experiences are actually very predictable. I was almost going to go with 3 stars for Roasberg but then looked ... and looked ... at some of the ornate slices of chocolate cake others had bought and of which they shared photos. I know that that would push my experience to 4 stars, perfunctory service or otherwise. With waterways, evergreens, overcast skies, Nordic DNA, and a lower decibel level than in the south of Europe, the vibe can run a lot like that of Seattle. With such ingredients, you can join others savoring the quiet experience of a Finnish coffeehouse, and possibly being depressed to go along with that, and turn those lemons into lemonade by being a happy camper doing this. I wouldn't say Roasberg is stellar, but it is reliable. Moreover, if coffee and a dessert, or a sandwich, is what you have in mind, Roasberg is so close to the transportation hub of the Finnish capital that it's a sensible stop to make.

American visiting Helsinki here. I woke up at 4:30AM this morning jet lagged AF, so naturally I…read morestarted "the scroll" to find places near my Air BnB that might help fuel me through. Sävy was a short walk, and the coffee shop I found that opened the earliest. Though it's listed as being open at 7:30, they actually open at 8am. I showed up at 7:47, and happily waited the extra 13 minutes until they invited me in. (What else am I going to fucking do with 13 minutes?). I ordered a breakfast combo that included a croissant, granola/yogurt bowl, and upgraded my coffee drink to a double cappuccino. The barista asked me what perfume I was wearing because apparently I smelled good. I remarked that it may have been the woman ahead of me, but it happened to be the dude's girlfriend, so he was pretty sure it wasn't her. I wasn't wearing a fragrance but the air BnB had a Linden Blossom bath wash...anyways. I was feeling good about smelling good even though I felt like shit. I digress I was stupid hungry, so I demolished that croissant before my coffee drink and granola bowl was ready. It was buttery, flaky, fresh and delicious. "On point" as the kids say. I was too tired to remember to order oat milk with my coffee, so I drank it with whole milk. It was rich, and chocolately like I like my coffee drinks. I might pay for the whole milk later, but it couldn't be worse than the airline food I had yesterday. So fuck it. The granola bowl with yogurt was legit. Breakfast here just hits different. The presentation was great, and it had the perfect ratio of fruit, honey, and cinnamon. I had a little more time to kill so I ordered another single cappuccino with oatmilk this time (internally convincing myself it would offset the whole milk drink) it was also delicious. Additionally, they have a pretty dope music playlist, wi-fi, and cool art on the walls. I'll be coming back every morning until my stay here is up. Kiitos, Sävy

The service is laid-back and friendly and it is really a nice place to hang out in. It is sort of outside the city center but if you happen to be in the area it is a must to visit and I would say for anyone interested in coffee it is a definite stop if you happen to be in Helsinki.
