My Dad had taken his car for repairs here for years and years. Like a fool, I decided I'd make up…read moremy own mind about a mechanic. After many headaches with other mechanics AND another suggestion from Dad to take my car to Risinger's this time, I did. I was well taken care of. Unlike other mechanics who charged me close to $1,000 for the same work, Mark Risinger has my car running like a dream at about 1/4th of that cost. To be specific, I needed my rotors replaced --- I heard it was going to cost a fortune to have done. However, Mr. Risinger must know where to get his parts at a reasonable price. His labor cost is more than fair. His shop is located off the S 6th St extension close to the food pantry and overpass so it's a little ways out of town. I need my car right away because it's the only vehicle I have. I found out this week that by letting him know that, he could schedule the repair at a time that he could get it back to me same day. I don't pay attention to stuff like when my inspection is due, whether or not my registration sticker is on my plate or if my insurance card is the right one or not. So, as a disorganized individual, I was so grateful that he let me know about the inspection, took care of it AND the sticker on my plate. Truly now I am road worthy and have no intention of taking my car to anyone else in the future.

He truly cares about his customers, and wants to save them money where he can. I am an IUP student, and I called Risinger Auto Repairs to see if I could get power steering fluid since I needed a specific kind for my Acura TL that Walmart didn't sell. I had gotten my power steering pump replaced a few months earlier, and it was now leaking from the hose. When I got there he gave me the fluid and told me that if it continued to leak that I could bring it back and he would check it out for me. He gave me enough fluid to drive back to my apartment, and said I could pay him for it later. My car continued to leak fluid, so I set up a time to bring my car in. He was very kind, and said that if I didn't think the car would make it to the shop that he could come and bring me more fluid. The problem did end up being with the hose, and he fixed it for a very reasonable price. When my car was finished, he drove it to me since I wasn't able to get a ride to the shop that day. He even mounted my license plate since I had been too lazy to do so, and it was sitting in my back window. I would definitely recommend coming here for any repairs you may need!

The local auto supply stores all recommended Aamco on Oakland Avenue, Indiana PA so I gave it a try. I was 100% pleased. They are very helpful, extremely friendly and explain everything so you can understand it. In one instance they even went the extra mile to figure out a car "mystery", we've all had those. Their prices are also very reasonable. All in all, Aamco is absolutely the place to go in Indiana County for car repairs!

A few months later I needed to store the Porsche for the winter months and I went to Import for State Inspection and 5,000 mile Service. I could not have been more pleased with the quality of work and the care they took in servicing my car. In the intervening years, I have purchased both new and used import cars and have taken every one (including several Corvettes) to Import Auto. By the way, Import has also serviced and inspected my various motorcycles. Customer Service has always been top notch. Mike, the owner, Jill, Nate and the other two Mikes (yes, there are three Mikes) have been friendly on every visit so I'm not sure why anyone would have a negative opinion of Import Auto or its staff. I suspect negative opinions have simply been misunderstandings that could have been easily resolved via calm communication. - FCorbett

I've taken my car here twice for routine service, simply because it's convenient to my office. But…read morethat convenience is moot, as both times, my vehicle wasn't ready during a reasonable window of time. On the first visit, they never called to tell me it was ready. On the most recent visit, I had made an appointment online for 10:30am. Dropped the car off early. Four hours go by, no call back. I called them, and was told that my vehicle hadn't even made it into the garage yet. I told them to just cancel the appointment, and I would pick it up shortly. They came back and said it would be done in 30 minutes I agreed, and arrived at the shop about 35 minutes later. I had to wait about another 15 for the work to be finished. What's the point of making an appointment? What would have happened if I hadn't called four hours after the appointment time? Nice enough folks doing decent work, but don't have their shit together.

ONE tire, I told them this when I got there and when I received a call an hour later I was informed that all four tires either had pads on backwards bad rotors or bad calibers and it would cost $1600 to fix after telling them I didn't have that much they inform me of a cheaper option of only $1100 and I wouldn't get a receipt from the shop cause one of them would work on it on the side. After telling them I wanted to come pick my car up they half ass threw my brakes back together and I lost one of the pads ten minutes after leaving while on the highway.
