This is such a wonderful piece of artwork in Deland. The artist who created this is extremely talented. It's something to see when in Deland, and a great place to take the little ones to get their pictures. To the artist who created this. I would like to thank you for doing so. Your a gift to the city, and all those who come here to see your work. You have blessed each and everyone of us with you gift.

Lovely maintained home with so much history. Who visited, who contributed to the building and maintenance of the home, the restoration efforts. It was fascinating. We happened to be there on a day when they received a gift of an original Edison grammaphone with the beeswax songs in paper wrappers! And it actually worked! Amazing. I was just as surprised to learn that the famed hat-maker once called the small town of DeLand, FL home. I happened to be visiting during peak manatee season and so had the privilege of being able to still enjoy the mansion during its special holiday tour season. During the holiday tour, each room of the mansion has a unique theme to it that you get to learn all about from your helpful docent. Not only do you get to the enjoy the wonderful story of that room's decorations theme but the history of the home and family is wonderfully blended in. I'm told that obviously during the regular historical tour you dive deeper but I left learning waaaaay more about the Stetson family than I ever expected (or knew). The home is privately owned and you the love and passion the new owners have for the historic property is evident in every room. We even had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners (the super sweet and DeLand native, Kayla) I was surprised to learn she had even created many of the decorations herself that adorned the opulent rooms in the mansion. The Stetson Mansion is a great example of one of the many historical gems tucked away in Florida small towns that you can stumble upon when exploring the state. Whether you're doing the regular history tour or holiday tour, you're sure to have a fabulous visit to the Stetson Mansion.

I'm not an angry person, but it felt sooooooo good coming here and damaging things. We paid $109 for three people to rage for thirty minutes. We got soooooooo many items to damage. Some glass I threw at the wall. Other glass got hit with cane or metal bat. Yup, you read that right- a cane!! We even got some large items to damage. It was a plethora of things to destroy. So much that we forgot to damage some. Thankfully the staff was nice enough to give us an additional three minutes to damage as much as we could. Clearly, being destructive was the highlight of my night, but I'm going to try them again for their arcade. I'm also going back because the service was A1! The family was personable, knowledgeable and just a great family to be around. They actually played a prank on me- such a wonderful time! It is obvious they are doing some upgrades and will only get better. Try them out for date night, your birthday or after a long Monday. It's honestly never a bad time to go! Think about as self care and releasing whatever it is you need to release (if you don't think you need to release anything, release some of that happiness and share it with the world as you demolish glass pieces). 10/10. Highly reccomend!

We proceeded to walk through the outside exhibitions which included enclosed gators, tortoises, and rhinoceros iguanas. Since it's summertime, the mornings get really hot so we returned to the indoor welcome center, where there is a large attached exhibit room with lots of snakes, mostly venomous. There were different types of geckos displayed too. At 11:30am (Sunday) there was the days only venom extracting show! This is a very cool experience where you get to see actual venom extractions from a variety of snakes just feet in front of you while hearing expert knowledge about these interesting reptiles! Overall this was a nice experience, as long as you keep in mind that it's not a huge place, nor does it have tons of animals. But it's a cute venue that houses a variety of species that you normally would not see or probably have never seen before.

This year the event was held on April 12, and went from 1pm into 1am the next morning. The event encompasses Florida Ave, Woodland Blvd., and Alabama Ave. Between Rich Ave. And Howry Ave. There were 20 stages and 140 acts, so lots to see and experience. There was so many genres of music to choose from: Folk, Rock, Punk Rock, Bluegrass, Hip Hop, Rap, Country, Metal, Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Americana, grunge, alternative, and so much more. The only thing bad about the event is that it only takes place on one day versus the whole weekend. Regardless, it's definitely worth modifying your weekend to stop by. Tickets to the event were $15 each if you buy them online, but $20 day of the event. You could still attend if you didn't by tickets but many of the main stages had staff and volunteers preventing entry without a wrist band. You could however still see many of the bands in the open public areas and at local restaurants/bars that were sponsoring the event. There wasn't a lot of food trucks but they really were not needed because there are so many good restaurants in the area they can easily accommodate the crowds. There were a lot of vendors selling artwork, crafts, jewelry, and other items you typically see at other festivals like this one. Most of not all of the musicians were selling merchandise too. Parking was tricky when we arrived but we found an open spot in the municipal center parking lot. We stayed here for a little over 5-hours. I would have liked to stay longer but we had other obligations. If the event was happening on Sunday too I would have made an effort to come back out. All-in-all, the event is well worth the trip out to DeLand if you're not from the area. DeLand is an awesome town and I love coming to events like these. I look forward to returning to the DeLandApalooZa next year.

The time was from noon until 11:00 p.m. at night. We did about 5 hours. I really liked it checked out a bunch of bands had some ice cream and awesome tacos at the end of the night. Parking is free and one of the parking lots. Cost was $15 and they give you a map and the map list all the bands and the times they play. Definitely a must see if you're in the area They do it once a year. This was the 13th year. My favorite band of the day was called J and the 9s.

This place has such a unique, eclectic energy that's hard to find anywhere else: a perfect mix of cozy indoor bar, open-air courtyard with string lights and a massive lighted oak tree that gives it this magical, almost enchanted garden feel at night. It's got that laid-back, artsy DeLand charm but with enough edge to keep things exciting--think market lights twinkling overhead, pool tables outside, and a crowd that's always friendly and ready to have fun. The live music is what really sets it apart. They host original local bands, cover acts, rock, pop, R&B, throwback tunes, and everything in between almost every night--concerts start around 9 PM, and the energy ramps up fast. I've seen everything from killer rock bands to dance-floor fillers that get the whole place moving. And yes, people actually dance here! The courtyard turns into a real dance floor on busy nights--whether it's grooving to 70s classics, current hits, or feel-good empowerment anthems, it's impossible not to get pulled in. No stiff vibes; it's all about letting loose and enjoying the moment. The drinks are strong, reasonably priced (coldest beer in town, as they claim), and the bar staff is top-notch--super friendly, quick, attentive, and genuinely nice. Bartenders like Zach and the rest of the crew remember faces, crack jokes, make killer cocktails, and keep the good times flowing without ever making you feel rushed. The owner and team create this welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels like a regular, even on your first visit. Whether you're coming solo to catch a show, with friends for a night out, or just want a spot to chill with great music in the background, Cafe DaVinci delivers. It's more than a bar--it's DeLand's best original live music venue where you can drink local, dance local, and make memories. If you're in the area, especially on a Friday or Saturday, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't regret it--I've recommended it to everyone I know, and they all come back raving. Keep rocking, Cafe DaVinci team! 1computeroutlet , 1websitenow
