Horrible customer service.
I used to go to this range once or twice a year to site in my rifles.
Today I arrived at exactly 3:00 pm, and asked to use the range.
The woman behind the desk said, "Nope you are too late."
I said "I thought you were open until 4pm for winter hours, I will only be about 20 mins, I just need to shoot a few rounds to make sure my rifle is still on".
The woman said, "Nope, we are closing in an hour and you cannot go down there, Jeff is the owner and he makes the rules, you're out of luck".
So I said, "well, let Jeff know that I come up here every year to use his range, but I will never be back."
I live in the Twin Cities and left work early today to make the one hour drive (2 hours round trip) to support this business.
NO WHERE on your website did it state that Del Tone was closing at 3pm today. They were suppose to close at 4pm. No WHERE on the website does it say you have to be there an hour early.
Today is November 17th, 2016, and there was no inclement weather.
I have been coming to this range since 2009, and I have referred many people to try to use this facility.
I really like supporting local business with my hard earned cash.
All I needed to do was hang one target and shoot about 9 rounds through a bolt action .243 win rifle to check it was still dialed in for Wisconsin deer hunting this weekend.
I will never be back to Del Tone and I will certainly let anyone know who asks that I was turned away even though this business was open.
I will suggest people look to local gun ranges here in the cities such as Bill's or Stock & Barrell, or if they need a longer range, to skip this business and try a range in Forest Lake or even New Ulm.
I have been to these ranges and have never been treated so rudely as I was today. read more
