Del-Gatto is one of the smaller wineries in the Picton County area, but their friendliness really does welcome you in. The vineyard's history is rooted in Italian family heritage, and that shows through in the tasting room's decor. They offer a smaller list of options, and the crowd I was with for the day seemed to agree the whites were more favourable to the reds. The highlight for our party was receiving some homemade cookies as a gift when one of the group made a purchase - how cute! I think they are the most easterly winery on the county map, but worth a quick look if you are out for a few tastings. read more

My friends and I had a full day tour with Tina's Wine Tours visiting 8 wineries. This was one Tina recommended and it was easily one of our favourites. It's smaller than many of the larger "corporate" wineries but the experience was far more authentic and personable. This is a family-run by 4th generation wine-makers. Janet, our server was charming, and the master wine-maker himself Pat actually came out to sit with us. It was a pleasure to taste their wines and to purchase a few bottle of their white and blush wines. read more
