We contacted Nicki after falling in love with our friends' elopement pictures she had done and let her know of our wild, non traditional plan of eloping on a hot air balloon in VT, surrounded by our immediate family members. Right off the bat, they were down for the adventure! We did an engagement session prior to the wedding and it's SO clear how much they truly love what they do. I was worried we would be incredibly awkward, but they made the day fun and comfortable and it felt more like walking around Boston with new friends- who happen to be taking your picture. After leaving, my cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing so much and if it wasn't clear before, when we got those photos we knew we picked the perfect photographers to capture our wedding. For our ceremony, they trekked all the way to VT to stay at an inn with our families. When the weather was jeopardizing our plan to get married in a hot air balloon (leaving us with no viable plan B) Nicki and Zack were calm and supportive and offered to scout pretty VT locations we could get married. We ended up having a chance of the weather clearing and being able to go up in the balloon, and after a long ride to the launch site in a sprinter with 12 of us, and then waiting for almost an hour in the rain to see if it was possible we'd be able to fly, the pilot finally called it and we were not going to be able to go up in the balloon. That's when Nicki and Zack sprung into action- taking umbrellas out of their trunk and seeking out the perfect spot. We were leaving that field married, and they were going to make it the most beautiful ceremony they could! We quite literally got married on the side of the road on someone's private property, in the pouring rain, and it was the MOST magical and beautiful moment of our lives. We just got our album and it's so incredible how talented they are- the photos make it look like that was the plan all along! Going through the album took us back to that day and gave me chills! Recently went to Cape Cod to have them done. The lighting that she captures looks photo shopped at times. Being there first hand, I know it is all natural lighting. Lisa is very personable and easy to talk to, like a cousin that you grew up with. The package that was offered was much less than I anticipated and less than other vendors I priced. There was also a discount involved for paying all upfront. The only thing that would've made my pictures better is if I was 30 pounds later. 30 weeks to go and 30 pounds. Not only were his pictures absolutely breathtaking but his overall professionalism with a personalized touch can't be beat. Jon went out of his way several times to accommodate our needs. He drove from Cape Cod to Boston to meet with us and offered to make the trip as many times as necessary. On the wedding day he was right on time and stayed later than he had to in order to get all the shots for us. All of my guests raved about how friendly he was. He also offered many wonderful ideas for shots, poses, lighting, effects and backgrounds. Jon is a very skilled photographer and has a gift for visualizing the end results of a picture before it's taken. Even now, over a month after the wedding he is in constant communication with us and guiding us through the ordering process with a lot of patience for our many, many questions. Jon also sent us our wedding photos on a high quality disc in less than two weeks! That is unheard of!!! During my search for a wedding photographer I found John from Stainbrook Photography. Right away I knew that he would be a great match for us. His prices were very reasonable and he took the time to meet with us in person to get a feel for what we wanted beforehand. On the day of the wedding John captured every moment that was special to me, from my sons helping me with my shoes, to the expression on my husband's face when he first laid eyes on me that day. He captured all the tiny details from my wedding as well. He stayed with us for 6 hours and really did a fantastic job. John is kind, patient and just an overall nice guy. I've ordered mini accordion albums from him, as well as, wedding albums for our parents and our own wedding album.
