They refill your communal rice bowl if asked. Everything was delicious, and as 12-year residents of Shanghai we left full and pleased. The server made it seem the rice balls were small, but they came bigger than expected. Might be better to split 1 if it's only 2 people. The night we dined was quite busy, as they continued to have new patrons arrive. I think it helped that we spoke Chinese. I was happy to see folks of all different nationalities eating here!

First of all this place is centrally located near national theatre. Lots of foreigners eat here so it seems like a touristic place. And it feels like that as well. The plus side is that it's a big place so you can fit large groups of people at once. The service was quite fast. There is lots of people working and running around.
