Great quality at an excellent price for boys trainers in Spiderman and Lightning Mcqueen. I would recommend the store to anyone. Thumbs up!

This location is very easy to find as it's off the main drag of Carnaby street just off to the side. The black paint and signage make it easy to spot. The inside was clean and not overdone so you can really focus on the pieces there. I've always wanted a piece from here but was apprehensive because of the prices (I'm just cheap, the pieces are quality and reasonable for the craftsmanship) but mainly because since all of the pieces are custom made to your size, the items need to be shipped. Told myself for years I'd just go to their Los Angeles store but never did. It's so much more special getting a piece here though as the Great Frog originated here. Staff member named Jaws helped me out and was a lovely human being. Approachable and helpful, not pushy but made me feel good about my purchase. Walked me through sizing me for a ring and talked prices and shipping. Also was friendly that we got off topic talking about life and overall just a nice person who made the experience A+. I'm so happy with my rock n roll ring purchase that I'll be a fan going forward. If you love badass jewelry with a rock n roll edge and history, this shop is the one for you.

My heart sank when I saw the original shop front in Ganton Street boarded up on a post-lockdown visit to Central London. Turns out, they just moved to a new location around the corner in Newburgh Street - phew! With quite a queue outside as well, so the future seems secure. This is the original rock'n'roll jeweller and famous for its collection of skull rings.

There were also some really cute purses and hair clips, and the shop also sells flip flops, hats, underwear and scarves amongst other things. I ended up spending a surprisingly long time browsing for a fairly small shop, and would recommend it, particularly if you're looking for an interesting piece of jewellery,

So, I'd say its 2 stars for selection, but an additional star for being less packed. The women's clothes selection is quite small, and the shoe selection is downright sparse. There's a better selection of sunglasses in this location, and we found some nice childrens book sets for boys and girls. Generally, I'd say to do your core shopping at nearby H&M and Next, and then stop in to TK Maxx if you have a little more time and money to kill on the off chance you find something you like.

My baker lady said, "Party Party, just in Dalston market" so off I trotted. As I approached this vast store firstly I was shocked that I have lived here for 3 years and never actually seen this magical place. Down stairs as you walk in you are greeted by sales staff in themed waist coats, this time of year they have pumpkins all over them. The head fella wears a fez - that automatically gave these guys an extra star, it's not often I get sound advice from a fez but this guy knew his stuff. Downstairs there is this wonderful area filled with party accessories, from balloons to costumes (pretty basic but good value for money) and hats, masks, tinsel, tablecloths, candles the lot! But this wasn't the best of it... anyone who loves to bake needs to come here. Upstairs hidden away is a shop that sells cake accessories, from cutters, to edible glue, to silver balls, cake stands, plastic bride and grooms and more. I was in a rush and only meant to spend a few minutes picking up the liners but walked out with 2 silver cake trays, silver edible balls , cake liners, vanilla extra and icing caps. I want to go back and buy more right now. If you are making a cake, you must spot by here, it's everything you need all under one roof!

The menswear section is particularly strong and dominates most of the store with very reasonable Burberry marino wool v-necks and check shirts for only £15, and a vast selection of tweed and wool suits priced from £65 to £100. Wool hats are beautifully displayed on mannequin heads, whilst smaller accessories such as cuff links and handkerchiefs are kept behind glass cabinets. The womenswear selection is smaller- with only a few small rails devoted to evening wear. What pieces they do have though, are exquisite- I tried on a delicate green, silk 1940s tea-dress which for £65 was an absolute bargain. There is however a very good selection of outerwear- there are some beautiful fake-fur coats for under £75 and some immaculate raincoats for under £80. Everything in the shop is beautifully presented and smart. There is no rummaging through rails of rubbish to find items, just a few well-chosen, classic pieces displayed beautifully.

That said, there's a lot of stuff. All of the dresses are well looked after in those plastic cases, but I find that such a pain. I know it protects them blah blah blah. but I want to go through clothes being all touchy feely. It's part of the fun. I hate that I can't do that in here. The guys stuff seems better. The shirts are cool and the whole shop does the indie boy in Greenwich thing very well. It's pretty pricey in here, but that's because the stuff is very good quality. It's almost too good - there's something lovely about vintage clothes that need a little repairing maybe that's just me. Do go in and take a look around. You might not find the perfect piece, but you'll have fun trying on cool shades and hats. Which is an equally important part of shopping.
