As a real estate professional, Philip represented many dozens of my clients over the past decade with brilliant success. He is my first choice for problem solving and my only choice when it takes a master of mediating a solution. Philip Daunt is a fine attorney, who cares. We were asked for a $4,000 retainer. We were invoiced separately at $400.00 each for the consulation. Then we were charged things like Mr. Daunt leaving me a voicemail of 1 minute and 22 seconds at the rate of $40.00. Sending me an email at the charge of $40.00 and reading my very short responce of maybe 5 words another $20.00. All adding up to $700.00 each for my neighbor and I. My neighbor called the office and asked that Mr. Daunt not return the call yet he did and then charged for it. I feel the charges were unfair but you be the judge. I would think twice before hiring him. We fired him and sought out another Attorney.

I had interviewed at least a handful of lawyers by the time I came across Steven Andre. He was one…read moreof only two lawyers who actually displayed genuine empathy for my situation, and was the only one that didn't leave me feeling further victimized upon hearing price quotes. While I didn't realize this at the time, turns out I was actually well equipped with the tools to fight this case on my own- I just needed a little coaching in regards to the legal system and as cheesy as it sounds, simply needed to hear that someone believed me. My story was one that I am sure countless women can relate to- I was facing an opponent whom had been emotionally/ mentally abusive to the point where I was suffering from rather severe PTSD, which strongly impacted my ability to accurately explain the nightmare I was dealing with. On top of this, I felt pretty powerless and completely failed by a system that I always had been told would protect me. One of the worst things I had faced during my ordeal was being written off as the stereotypical 'hysterical or crazy woman' upon attempting to relay my almost unbelievable experience (which quite honestly I expect to see made into a Dateline NBC episode or a Netflix movie one day.) The second worst thing I faced was accepting the hard truth: laws are like cobwebs, which may catch small flies, but let wasps and hornets break through. Now I realize lawyers have to make a living, and it is their job to sell me their services. However, I am in customer service/ sales myself, and I have have always made it a point to engage in personal work ethic stressing the importance of balance between making a living and giving back to the community. And because I provide clients with genuinely honest advice, this sometimes means they don't enlist my services on that day in particular. But what I have found, is that taking this moral and ethical high road is how one earns clients for life. So...onto my point- Mr. Steven Andre is the kind of moral and ethical person that earns clients for life and you can trust he puts his clients' best interests first. Thank you again Steven, I truly appreciate you and hope you realize what a difference you made in my life

After telling her where we lived and giving some details she told me that they wouldn't be able to give us a free consultation because we were from a different city. I mentioned that I didn't intend to hire an attorney, I simply had a couple quick questions that I needed answers to and that their website had offered "Free Consultations" as well as the Yelp page advertising this service. She told me that she could take my phone number, when I asked why I couldn't just talk to an attorney now she told me she would be happy to refer me to a Lawyer Referral service, implying that they had little interest in contacting me back. I mentioned that the Yelp page stated they provided "Free Consultations," to which she repeated that they couldn't take our case because we were not from the same city. After a couple more minutes of back and forth she clearly got frustrated and I was instead connected to Mr. Reed. When Mr. Reed got on the phone he was clearly very irate and began by yelling at me that they couldn't take our case because we were from a different city. I calmly explained that I simply had a few quick questions about our situation and that we didn't need to hire an attorney. He stated that they wouldn't give a "Free Consultation" unless there was the opportunity that they would be hired to represent us. I explained that this implies that it's not a "Free Consultation," at which point he got angrier and louder. I was able to calm him down and he did answer my questions, however this type of discourse was highly unprofessional and unbecoming of an Attorney. I wouldn't suggest hiring someone who would so quickly lie to avoid doing a few minutes of work to help a fellow human being.
