Daniel Hollingsworth came highly recommended from friends, and I was able to quickly pass him my expired estate/trust documents to 1) make them CA-compliant and 2) also insert my own needed updates to reflect my current estate situation. After he had a chance to review my expired estate plan, I met with Daniel; he explained the differences between my previous state's laws and CA law, the changes he recommended and the rationale for each change. I found his opinions to be very insightful and appreciated the examples and scenarios he gave me to consider for each change. Daniel really put me at choice--and I felt I really understood my choices. I appreciated his explanations and the professionalism he exhibited in dealing with some touchy/feely family considerations too. Daniel and his staff quickly turned around my estate plan, and then he met with me and my young adult daughter so that I could sign off the final documents. He made the sign off quick for me, and yet very understandable for my daughter, who is one of my trustees. He also offered to do the same walk-through of documents for my adult son (also a trustee, but unavailable that day)--and it was so helpful to have everyone feel competent and confident in executing the estate plan together. While I didn't realize this at the time, turns out I was actually well equipped with the tools to fight this case on my own- I just needed a little coaching in regards to the legal system and as cheesy as it sounds, simply needed to hear that someone believed me.
