And from the get go, Dr. John was very clear about the treatment and how long it would take. The office space is very clean and well kept and everyone that works there is so sweet! Toward the end of my treatment, the gals knew my name and they would look directly at me as they were calling me in. Drs John and Megan were so wonderful every time! I am very happy with the results too and would recommend Hometown Orthodontist to anyone looking for an orthodontist in Bismarck. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience!

It'll be only a year to have them on and I'm looking forward to a great process. I'm at the orthodontist right, at 8:40AM and I'm done around 10ish my car could not start So Dr. Welk went about his way of helping me. He got his jumper cables out, his out in the -18/-15 weather reviving my car and mind u he has a great team managing his time inside while his out there fixing my car I had options to take an Uber and have me and Milton come back to my car and fix it (we'd stop by somewhere to get a jumper cable first) His generosity was over and beyond. I have always been that person and it feels warmth to my heart when it's given back to me too. I am able to pick up Milton from his class, go out for supper and I got to go home warm up! God bless his heart, family and the best team at Hometown Orthodontist it is your local family orthodontist

Dr. Stanley preformed the procedure. The wire that was used to attach the chain was attached so it was poking him in the gums, which was very painful until we went to our orthodontist and he fixed the issue. The surgery sight also became infected and Dr. Stanley insisted it was not, but he prescribed antibiotics "just to make us happy". We had two other doctors confirm that it indeed did appear to be infected. Dr. Stanley suggested that since we were having so many issues (the wire poking my son in the gums and the infection) we just remove the bracket and he would then implant an artificial tooth. We did not go with his suggestion and will never return.

We had a consult in the summer of 2017 for my step son, he had a crown earlier that year so majority of his dental coverage (1500 year max) had been used. So we decided to wait until 2018 to do the surgery. I called our insurance several times in 2017 and found out that both medical and dental would cover wisdom teeth removal. For fully impacted bony tooth removal it should be filed under medical first then any remainder would go under dental. When we were in for our consult the estimations done were under dental coverage. His surgery was done January 3, 2018, I specifically told the billing department that they needed to bill under medical first. They argued first with my husband who was at the office, and then myself on the phone and said that was not the usual protocol. 2 weeks after surgery the bill was sent through our dental insurance not medical. I called our insurance company to ask it to be moved to medical first. They did do this for me, even though that was not their job. I also noticed the total billed to insurance did not match the total bill copy I had received from the Institute's office. It was $215 more on the bill from the office than to insurance. A few weeks later I called to check on the status and was told we would owe 215$ and take it out of the 822$ initial payment the Institute had my husband pay on the day of surgery. I inquired where this extra 215 charge came from. They had initially forgotten to bill insurance for the second part of anesthesia. I then told them to rebill insurance for this amount to the medical side. They again did this incorrectly and billed through dental. Several phone calls later the Institute refused to bill medical , I called insurance to see if they could fix the dental office's error. I was finally able to get it processed that way. Finally the first week of May we were refunded our 822$ from the dental office. I was BEYOND disappointed and disgusted with the lack of assistance from this dental office. They bill insurance daily they should definitely know when coverage should fall under medical vs dental. Also extremely unprofessional to just forget to bill for part of the service and then hold our money almost 5 months because of their screw up. The surgery aspect of the services was done well, but for all the headache of billing, I would not recommend this office.
