I decided to take a short drive towards Bolton to see the fall colors and visit this farmstand…read morebefore they close for the season (reopening next summer). As they are famous for their peaches and apples at the local farmer's market, I really wanted to see the orchard itself as well as have an in-depth chat with one of the owners, Alan, who I got to know when purchasing their amazing produce. They have a really cute farm stand with lots of pumpkins and apples around this time of the year. You also have the option on going apple picking in the orchard and see how the different apples are grown. Alan, who usually doesn't take people on a tour around the orchard, showed me around and explained all their operations throughout the year. It was really eye opening to the farming industry around this region (compared to California where it never stops). Picked up some apples and cider, enjoyed the fall colors before driving through the back route where you can see the Boston skyline from quite a distance. Definitely recommend the non-touristy experience here.

There is no fancy donuts or anything like that here, just apple picking with some tables around the property to stop for a water break or maybe a snack.

I've been back several times since their reopening for the season. I find this place and staff to…read morebe always consistent. As stated in my former review (s) you will never see stickered, dried up fruit or vegetables here. They only sell what they grow. Beware though that when the corn is in there are lines and it sells out VERY quickly. It's that good! These days I no longer cook for a family. So, I'm fine requesting short ears which may or may not be imperfect and a bit less expensive. Their melons, which have been turning up lately are so delicious! Prices are a higher than what you'll see in a supermarket. You are buying fresh picked, native produce. The corn you buy today was picked at sunrise - same day!

It's great that this farm preserves open space. Driving down the hill from them towards downtown…read moreLeominster you see an impressive view of hills and Mount Wachusett in the distance. That's about all I can say for them. The prices are higher than at Dick's Market Garden in Lunenburg. Not everything is price marked either. I liked that they offered beets without all the leaves on them. Then I got home and opened the bag to find they didn't clean the dirt off the bottoms, great big clumps of dirt. Cooked them and when I went to peel them they were white inside. Beets might have white or pale areas due to nutrient deficiencies. They don't give you a detailed receipt so you can see what you bought for how much and comparison shop because they are more than the competition. More money for less.

Such a lovely farm. I'm a professional photographer and loved going here for some dreamy family…read moreportraits. First time I was here I was just blown away, so the next session up I went right back. It seems very clean, they're open to the public and have probably the cleanest porta potties I've ever seen in my entire life. Bravo! I can't wait to visit for Apple picking season. Despite the one hour drive, I'll be back!

They made us feel so welcome here when I came with a school group. A welcome sign and everything!…read more The farm is gorgeous with trees that just keep going. At the very back is a gazebo that a couple was using for an engagement photoshoot while we were there. Easy to see why when it's surrounded by rolling hills. The apples were ginormous. Like, gigantic. Especially the honeycrisp. I picked one to eat and could only finish half of it!! Prices are reasonable. The size of the bags are odd though....I got a bag that was supposed to fit 16 and it only fit 5. Huh?? Just readjust your expectations. They also have a hayride that takes you on a tour through the orchard and he talks about the history of it. Make sure you sit near the speaker since it's hard to hear over the engine. The store was stocked with the obvious. Apple cider, apple butter, caramel apples. There's also a little food truck outside. ALL fried foods so don't expect anything healthy. It was a wonderful experience!

We came for the corn maze and pumpkins, and were not disappointed. Ambiance: Loved it. The scenery was beautiful and there weren't too many activities other than the corn maze, pumpkin patch, a corn-launcher, shetland pony, and some llamas & goats. The drive there was gorgeous, especially just down the road where you get a view all the way to Boston. I loved the winding, shaded country roads up to the farm. Corn Maze: The maze was great. Very challenging if you try to not use the map. Even a bit challenging with the map. Four acres, so it's big, but not too big. Pumpkins: The pumpkin patch was just on the other side of the corn maze, and there were plenty of pumpkins to choose from, both small and large. Unfortunately the wet weather was causing some to rot on the vine, but many were still in good shape. Service: Everyone was very friendly, and it wasn't very busy when we were there (3:45 pm to 5pm). The maze cost $10 for adults, and pumpkins were only $0.50/lb. Seriously, $8 for three pumpkins? Whooo! They also had a few food items, including hot dogs. I'd definitely recommend this place, even without the apples. Can't wait to go back next year when there are apples.
