Im sorry but someone does not die from having a stent inserted, nurse told me these things happen with heart patients sorry I don't by that, I cant help but feel the hospital did something wrong. And to add insult to injury the doctor spelt her name wrong on the Death Certificate and would not correct it they put her real name as AKA.

08.23.25 Tidal…read moreHealth isn't a place anyone wants to go unless they have to, but during a visit out of town for my mom's birthday, I ended up there after a sudden attack of extreme stomach pain. It felt like I was being stabbed, and it only got worse as we were out at dinner. By the time I arrived at the ER, I was doubled over, screaming in pain. The waiting room had a handful of people with minor complaints--sniffles, scratches--yet I was in obvious, excruciating distress. A nurse quickly came out took me in the back, drew blood, and tried to find me a bed, but explained the hospital was full. I was sent back to the waiting area, still screaming in pain, in front of my wife and mother who had never seen me like that. Honestly, I think hospitals should have a better system to separate true emergencies from non-urgent cases. Many people misuse the ER to skip the wait or even just for food and shelter, which slows down care for patients in real need. Eventually, after tests, a doctor confirmed I had a kidney stone and was going to be admitted. Another urologist came in right away, explained my options, and helped manage my pain. However, a frustrating moment followed: someone from registration said I was only being "monitored," not admitted, even though two doctors had already told me I was being admitted. That difference matters for insurance coverage, and it felt more about money than patient care. Once I got to a room, things turned around. My nurse, JT/JD?, was outstanding--he made sure I stayed ahead of the pain, worked with the doctors to get the right medication combination, and truly cared about my comfort. On Sunday, I had a stent placed to help pass the stone. Afterward, the doctor gave me the choice to stay or go home. When I decided to leave, the process was unbelievably quick--my wife arrived, and within 5 minutes I was signed out and discharged. The only major disappointment was the CT scan room. It was shockingly dirty--filthy floors, debris on the machine--and honestly, if I hadn't been in such severe pain, I would have refused to be scanned there. That level of cleanliness was unacceptable and left me very concerned about infection risk. Overall, despite some serious frustrations with the ER system, admission process, and CT scan cleanliness, the doctors and nurses themselves were excellent. They provided quality care, compassion, and efficiency once they found out what was wrong and I was admitted, and now I understand why my dad always wanted to come here when dealing with his heart and cancer he felt comfortable here.

WHY doesn't tidal health send surveys to family members? rather then just patients who usually still feel too bad after tidal health stay to answer survey? Why has no one from tidal health admin team reached out to me for feedback despite several attempts by me and others to contact them? Interesting the discrepancy in tidal health "patient reviews" and reviews outside of tidal health? Where is the transparency in advising?

The OT…read moreand PT people were very nice and provided some helpful tips and procedures for being able to return home and be as independent as possible with your injuries. Some of the people who work here are super cheesy and they are annoying when you are not feeling your best. I was one of the youngest patients here, and some of the CNA's seem to think you might be able to do more than you are supposed to do with your injuries because you "look" healthy and young. The food was ok, and they have a nice service that will enable your family to enjoy lunch or dinner with you for $3.00. My two main complaints are that the entire hospital is extremely warm and uncomfortable, especially when you have to wear a cast or a brace on your torso. This makes it difficult to eat, sleep, rest, or even think. Another serious problem is that when you call for assistance, you may be waiting for 10 minutes to a half hour!! After using the call button, I resorted to calling the hospital on my cell phone from their web page so that I could get some assistance. When you need help to even get to the bathroom, this can be extremely frustrating. While they may be helping someone else who may need more assistance than you at the time, it would be wonderful for there to be several aids available so that patients are not waiting forever for help!
