This was the third time we have gone, coming from AZ. Mary, specifically, that works for the resort was amazing and so much help! She went out of her way to make sure my wife, our four kids, my parents, my uncle, and our kids' friends all had an amazing experience. She treated us like family and genuinely cared that we made the most of our time there. Mary's kindness and exceptional service made all the difference, and we're so grateful for everything she did. She's a huge asset to The Springs Resort, and we can't wait to come back! Also, we were having so much fun, I should have taken more photos.

All is fine since you'll spend most of your time in the water anyway. The entrance fee I didn't mind paying, but I felt that it should have included towels. Towels were an extra purchase on top of your entry fee. Luckily, I got a refund for my towel purchase because it is included with the purchase of a cabana which wasn't clear on the website. The pools themselves were nice with varying levels of heat. The amenities were also good. Our server, McKayla was great.

The cashier lent me 4 quarters for the lockers. I felt bad, but then she said they just come back out of the locker- I didn't feel bad anymore. The female only area had a sign for no cell phones. I decided to follow the intent of the sign, but still took my cell phone into the lounge area because I really wanted to read and my books are all on my phone. I did turn off my ringer so it wouldn't bother anyone else. The hot pool was magnificent I loved it. I loved how hot the water was. And that textiles were optional, after living in Europe. I loved the lounging area after coming out of the hot pool and feeling like a million dollars as my heart rate slowed down. The shared outdoor pool was just meh. I got a little chilly lying out and got a mosquito bite so reverted back to the private area again. Overall- I'd go back for the private pool. I could leave the big one.

Wolf Creek historically gets the most snow in Colorado. If Pacific moisture collides with the rare Gulf moisture - watch out. A three foot dump is common. Well beyond the big, corporate resorts, Pagosa has remoteness nearby that is all its own. Lesser known gems are to be discovered, like Rainbow Springs and various points along the Piedra River and the largely uninhabited Hinsdale County. They are locales for the visitor to find on their own, since residents might prefer some places largely undiscovered by the masses to remain so. Club Wyndham is another jewel. Yep, I said it. Having stayed her twice for extended stretches, I like the place. It is quite simple, but spread out - perhaps the development was overbuilt back in the day - but you have ample territory to yourself. While the golf course (ran by another entity, I think) might need greening up, it would be convenient and is right out the door. Here's where this place really wins. The units are impeccably clean and well appointed. And if you need something else, the staff are on it. More Lavazza coffee? Sure. Another request? No problem. Most people would probably celebrate the price, so low, it's practically free. All in all, an impressive experience in value and service provided where there are quite limited lodging options. Would return.

The place itself is very conveniently located to anything in Pagosa and also to various hikes. The facility is visually appealing and the hosts are far and away the nicest, most accommodating people you could ever meet. Just so happened it is the beginning of the season and we were the only guests for two nights. We were downright spoiled with the attention we received. Took full advantage of the happy hour (two hours actually) which included some amazing appetizers and open bar. Our first night we decided to take advantage of the in house dinner menu and it was terrific as well. Tried the filet with mushroom risotto and also the beef stroganoff with rice. We both shared and enjoyed immensely. Dessert was vanilla ice cream with an amaretto/maple sauce. I would drink that with a straw by the way. I was even given seconds on dessert, thanks Jim. We had the loft room in the main house which has its own balcony, fireplace, bathroom, AC unit, sitting area, etc, etc, etc. They think of all the touches including drinking water, smart TV, a fridge, and even simple things like eyeglass cleaning wipes in the room. Very comfortable room, king bed, and overall feel. I should probably mention that each morning we had a custom gourmet type breakfast. Odilia likes to cook and she is good at it. Our last morning we even took our breakfast out on the main deck and enjoyed the breathtaking views. We went hiking that morning and they even let us check out a little late so we could shower up before moving on to our next city. Speaking of which, we were also able to request a to go lunch for our hiking days. Food was great and plentiful. Became lunch and snacks for the day. Big thanks to Jim and Odilia. There is no way that I can recommend this place.

The runs aren't that great, but hey - at least you can ski here. My main problem with this resort is with the owners / management. They recently started to offer "local discount days", which is awesome, but they attach strings to it. You HAVE to present a coupon from the newspaper for EACH person buying a ticket... So, you can be from out of town, present the coupon, and get the discount, which I liked since I'm from Texas. However, my friends who were local did not have the coupon, but had driver's licenses and Fort Lewis College student Id's and they were refused the local price. One of my friends even had her electric bill, and they still refused to give her the discount. Super lame. I won't be returned to this hill.

This is the best hot springs experience you can get in Colorado…read more This place feels like an oasis. It's magical. If you're looking to tent or vehicle camp- stay here. Especially if you want to winter camp. Facilities are very nice and up to date. This is a very CLEAN resort. The staff work extensively to maintain this place and it shows. You see this first hand as an overnight guest if you come in before or after public hours. You get 24 hour access to the springs as an overnight guest. They have like-new, large trex decking platforms for each tent site, all situated on a newer small-river-rock lot. Each site has plenty of space to park, and has its own steel fire ring. In the center of all of the sites is a new concrete pad with a large canopy over it, picnic tables, and a charcoal grill. There was a well maintained port-a-john outside by the tent sites available to use if you didn't want to venture inside the gate to the main restrooms (both the same short walking distance). The free showers in the womens restroom (can't speak for the mens) were honestly even nicer than mine at home. Large, like new, HOME showers with fancy newer shower heads. Shower water is preheated by the hot springs, so every shower taken was hot and relaxing! Bathrooms were clean every time-staff is attentive. The views are impeccable from this place, I'll include a photo or two below. Staff was always friendly and helpful, even very early in the morning and late at night. They have two cats roaming around that were extremely friendly. Definitely a highlight to see them wandering the grounds, if you are an animal lover. This is a clothing optional resort- but everyone minds their own space and business. Everyone was respectful. We seldom had anybody else near us, and clothed or not, people are most often submersed in the pools anyhow. They do also have a clothing-only pool inside with a separate entrance, and two private pool rooms inside that are first-come. There are so many pools to choose from, the parking lot can be full and you still feel like you are getting your own personal experience. Come in after public hours as a camper and you may just have a pool, or a large part of a pool to yourself. Far more relaxing and natural experience than a more popular Mt. Princeton. If you want a quiet more private and natural experience, visit Orvis.
