Was referred here by a friend who had used this shop before…read more Super chill rental shop. Employees are always quick to greet you as soon as you walk in. They never seem too busy to help even when they're chatting amongst each other. They get you checked in and ready to go within minutes. They're super patient when it comes to choosing your gear etc. I asked about switching from skis to snowboarding, which they said was no problem at all. I also asked about adding an additional day onto my rental contract, they said no problem - when you return your gear, whatever additional days can be added on at the end. No need for more paperwork or a new contract; Just bring the gear back by 5 pm. This shop has a sister shop right next to the town lift in DT park city. However, this slope side shop is definitely less busy. In fact, they were willing to let us pick up our gear before 2pm whereas the other shop said wait til after 2pm because employees were on lunch break. So we opted to get our gear here, especially since they said they could hold the gear overnight for free, for us to pick up the next day. So we left our skis and poles there for morning pickup. They sized my friend for boots and they adjusted my rental skis to fit my boots. They sized up a helmet for my friend and then they had us try some poles. They recommended shorter poles, which we agreed to. They do not store your helmet or boots at the shop. What's good about the shop is they have cubbies where you can keep your shoes. They don't guarantee your stuff, so it's at your own risk, but I don't think anyone was going to steal my shoes. So i left my shoes there every day when i picked up my skis. They open at 8 and close at 5. The lifts are 9-430 so it works out perfectly. We would show up, get our boots and gear on, grab our skis and go! The shop was good about answering the phone when we called for help - someone had stolen one set of our poles. Of course there is a charge for lost poles, but I thought the charge was well below reason. Again, super chill shop. I never did change to snowboarding; the skis were perfect for the conditions. The shop has many employees. All were nice and helpful. They even let us in on the upcoming weekend events such as Gaper Day and something about a pond party etc. They gave us recommendations of what to do around town too. All in all, a great shop with wonderful employees with a convenient location and good gear. Renting online ahead of time will save you 20%. So for three days of ski/pole rental with the damage insurance, I paid $67. Great deal.

I finally had to escalate to a Paypal claim to get my money back. I feel like this is a small company that may be overwhelmed by internet orders. They either need to limit the amount of orders or stop taking internet orders all together.

I think the size was like 37/622 and I had 29x2.2 on their, the tires were just way too skinny. I called RMDLW and spoke with BUBBA who is just a super laid-back easy guy! He talked me through the sizing requirements I needed to acquire for my bike. I found a new tire and I sent the old tires back. Bubba made sure that I was taken care of by paying shipping and handling both ways, and also paid the difference in the amount for the new tires. We rented demos for our family and got 20% off by booking online 24 hours in advance. The price may have been a tad higher than Vail Ski rentals (which we considered because of our Epic Ski Pass discount), but it was worth the few extra dollars for the location and the customer service we received. The staff at Aloha Ski were kind, helpful and knowledgeable about the mountain....Mike, Ashley and Pedro were all great! They helped us navigate the mountain- crossing from canyons to park city. Any problems we had with our rentals were taken care of with out issues (small issue with buckle and insole). Pedro even found a printed trail map of the mountain to give me. I was told that they didn't exist anymore, but Pedro found one and saved it for me! I can't say enough good things about this rental company and their employees. Will definitely rent from them again the next time we are in Park City.

It's definitely on the expensive side, but it's worth it. Everything I have gotten from Bastille has always been awesome, and don't have the fear of knowing that someone will have it, as I do with Urban Outfitters. Plus, it's local and we gotta boost dem local bizzzz. My favorite thing overall is when they have sales and whatnot, you get a personalized email from the person that helped you before, letting you know you have first pick for the sales - that makes this business jump into a better category than any other clothing store I've been to in SLC. Lots if regular items on Sale, a presale plus 10 % off everything in store for preferred customers. As I arrived I was greeted without anyone telling me about sale. I found a bunch of racks with red dot on tags but when I asked what dots were for (hoping presale) I was told it was marked for inventory purposes only. I found a nice dress in the regular sale area marked down to $100. As I was paying I pulled up my email and asked about the 10 % off. The man behind the register answers that that is for presale only. I said "well what's presale items then?" I get a reply from another associate that everything marked in red dots is 40 % off for presale customers. "Oh, we'll I wish I would have known that was all on sale, I wasn't told when I asked" I replied. After having gone through all those clothes thinking they were regularly priced I simply didn't have it in me to go through them all again. Frustrating. "So what about 10 % on everything in store as listed in email?" I show him the email. He replies that he can give the 10 % but that I will have to pay now and pick up dress on Saturday. Why??? Talk about making it difficult for someone trying desperately to shop the sale in their store. Argh!!! I waited for him to be decent and give me the 10% off since the sale and extra discount was the whole reason I made the special trip there and now I missed both. Silence. I finally said "oh well I guess it's not worth $10 for me to come all the way back here on Saturday". Clueless of golden opportunity to treat a loyal customer with some proper customer service, he took my $100 and wished me a good day. Felt like stomping out of there like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. "Big mistake, HUGE"! The money doesn't bother me really but how easily he dismissed and confused a clearly loyal customer who was trying to get the deal the email had advertised. In today's economy, that kind of "service" is downright stupid.
