I was in Quihi for a wedding last weekend and stayed one night in the suite located on top of the bar and it was a horrible experience. DO NOT STAY HERE if you value your sanity. A very loud, live concert was playing until late at night. This was understandable, considering that I was aware there was a bar under the room. But the thing that really pisses me off is the fact that every 30 minutes - without fail - we were subjected to about about 20 seconds of EXTREMELY loud train horns. Apparently this bar is located next to Texas' most active railway. Seriously, no one warned us about this. Every time I finally managed to fall asleep, I was jolted awake by the train. I don't even understand the point of having a room for rent so close to a very active railroad track. And mind you, this wasn't just slightly annoying, faint horn sounds in the distant. It was more like it sounded like a train was about to crash into the room. They should rent this room for dirt cheap, or convert into something entirely different, like a restaurant. And there isn't a convenient store nearby where you can buy ear plugs. I felt like I was staying in an insane asylum. read more
