DO NOT GO HERE, I BEG YOU. If you care for your dignity and wellbeing, please find somewhere else even if you have to drive further than you want to. It's worth it, I promise. I have thought about doing this review for almost a year now and decided that it is important to let women know. My first appointment was traumatizing to say the least. It was my very first OBGYN visit ever and my husband and I went to confirm my pregnancy. Well since I was pregnant, they wanted to do a pap smear and made it sound like I absolutely had to. The doctor did not listen to me and would not answer my questions when the pap smear happened. When he swabbed, he looked concerned and so did the other medical professional that has to be there for invasive procedures. Apparently there was a lot of blood and he never answered me when me and my husband asked what was wrong and why that would happen. The doctor tried to hide it from me and panicked when I asked about it. The procedure was extremely painful and he was not gentle at all. When I asked him again about it the next appointment, he brushed me off like it wasn't a big deal. Well that was the first issue I had with this practice. On top of the multiple cancelled appointments with little to no notice, they bounce you to different doctors. I was literally meeting a new doctor each visit throughout my pregnancy and explaining everything over and over in order to then ask the doctors questions that I would never get the answer to. The majority of the doctors are arrogant and do not care about you in the least. They just want to get you out the door so they can get to the next person so they just tell you what to do. The practice has a monopoly on the Kent County area and you have to travel to get a decent doctor. If you are pregnant, I would highly suggest going to Christiana Care to deliver. I was so fed up with this practice that I fired them and went somewhere else when I was 34 weeks pregnant. There was also an incident with the fetal medicine appointment that made me and my husband extremely upset. This incident was the last straw that made me leave. We had an appointment and after doing an ultrasound and then a non stress test, the nurse came back and told us that everything was ok and that we could go and that we didn't need to schedule another appointment with the "coordinator". Well we get 5 minutes down the road and I get a phone call from someone there and she sounded like she was in trouble for letting us go. She convinced me to come back and I go to the desk and the lady says "oh, I think the doctor wants you to go to the hospital. I don't know, I just got back from lunch". The lady asked me if she wanted me to check and I told her of course. Well she comes back and says he wants me to go to the hospital and I ask why. She stares. I say that I am not going anywhere until I talk to the doctor. She then tells me he's out to lunch. I'll wait. He comes back from lunch early because I told her that she needs to tell the doctor that I am waiting. Doctor convinces me and my husband to go to the hospital because they want to make sure the baby is ok. We go. The midwife on call wouldn't listen to me and almost gave me medication that would drop my blood pressure significantly because of a bad BP read. She said that the BP cuffs are accurate... I told her that it squeezed me too hard and hurt and left marks on my arm. She still said that we should take the medication. The nurse is the one I convinced to do another BP reading and she's the reason why that medication was not given to me. My husband is still convinced that if that lady gave me the medication she wanted to give to me, then me and our baby would be dead. So I fired them and begged other practices all over DE to take me in the middle of my third trimester. I thought it was too late for me to find somewhere else. Thankfully it was not, even though a lot of different places did not want to take women after their second trimester. DO NOT GO HERE. THEY DON'T LISTEN AND DON'T CARE. I also highly recommend figure out how to advocate for yourself. If my husband and I did not do so, then I'm not so sure I would even be making this review. read more
