Tim was responsive to our call and came out with an assistant within two days. We had been able to run the main pump with an extension cord, but the power to the poles was completely gone and the circuit label in the panel was wrong. They found the correct circuit, relabeled it, and repaired the failed connection to that pole within a couple of hours. They came back this morning to run power to another pump that handles groundwater. Job well done. Their prices are reasonable, they're responsive to your call, and they know what they're doing.

Our salesperson, Jennifer, gave us any number of options, and we went with Roman shades of the same style and motorized as well. The shades arrived quicker than we expected. Because of a problem at the factory (where HD sent us components that obviously did not go together, but no one at that end caught it), our installer worked with Jennifer and us to resolve the issue and install our shades to our complete satisfaction (AND FOR LESS THAN WE PAID TEN YEARS AGO!--how often does that happen?). However, after this I could never get an estimate from her. I called and texted many times, only to be told I would have it shortly along with apologies. After waiting over a month I finally gave up and ended up going with Spindle Top Draperies (Joyce) and receive excellent service from them. Update: I have updated my review more favorably after the owner called me and I received a written apology from the sales associate. I understand it was an oversight and I understand these things do happen. I appreciate both of these people reaching out to me.

The existing wood siding on my home was reaching the end of its useful life. Further complicating…read morematters was the fact that my existing siding created a lot of challenges for the installers. I got the impression that several contractors did not want to tackle the job. Luckily, I called Mike, who is one of the owners of Mengel Exteriors. He explained that he had the perfect product for a job like mine: Alside Ascend composite plank siding. It has the appearance of wood siding, but it is a Hardie Board type material. It comes in single 12" long planks, so it looks more premium than vinyl siding. It's also thinner than vinyl, so it doesn't bulge out nearly as much when applied over the existing wood siding, and the fact that this does not not require removing the existing siding saved me a significant amount of money compared to Hardie Board. So I got a more premium appearance without the anxiety or expense of tearing off all the original wood siding. And I got a product with a lifetime warranty; it will never need painting, it adds insulation, which made my second floor much quieter. It resists woodpeckers, and it even provides some protection from fire. It is a really great product... Google it. Not only did I get a good product, though, the team at Mengel Exteriors created a very well thought out plan to tackle all the tricky areas, and I am thrilled with the results. I was particularly concerned about my bay window. My house was built in the 70's, and there had already been some repairs throughout the years. I was honestly prepared to be a little disappointed. I knew this needed to be done, but I just didn't think anyone would be able to make it look right. However, crew that preformed the installation are true craftsmen. The way all the angles come together on the bay window, and how it integrates so well with the rest of the siding, there is an artistry to it. The planning and execution really separates the amateurs from the professionals. These guys are professionals! So at this point, you might be saying: "This is a glowing review, it must be fake." Let me tell you... I feel like I spent less money than I anticipated, and I am happier than I thought I would be. It's a great feeling, and it is well worth a few minutes to write a review for these deserving folks! And my experience makes me believe you will feel the same way too!

Covid has caused delays but it is not an excuse for not keeping the customer informed. I had to constantly ask for updates, timing and price changes, always someone new arriving to do the work with no knowledge on what the project entailed. I would not recommend.
