They acted so inconvenienced by us waiting until their waiting room emptied out. 0/10 do not recommend. Thanks for nothing. Went to to this barbershop yesterday giving it a try because I was on the way home from work and I…read morehave my fiancé's baby shower this upcoming weekend, i walked into the wrong barbershops initially but probably should have stayed there , I then located Meticulous kits and went inside. I was greeted by 2 barber one with dreads who appears to be the owner who is very friendly and professional, and the person who cut my hair . I asked if they take walk-ins and the new barber was asked if he could get me after the person who was in his chair to which he replied yes, I get in the chair, I tell him exactly how I want it , when he started cutting I immediately knew he was messing my hair up, during the cut he turned me towards the mirror where I could actually see the progress and he totally ignored my request, once the haircut was finished he handed me a mirror and asked me if I liked it ... this is the worst haircut I've ever received in my life and I'm 21 years old . The owner then comes and ask me if I liked it (which he could clearly see the cut and that I'm upset ) and I respond I'm still looking at it which I was , I then told the guy he did the exact opposite of what I asked for and horribly messed up my lining . While walking out the owner calls me into his private cutting room , where he apologizes and tells me that the guy is new and cuts underneath them as an apprentice and that he's still learn. Which I replied i understand and that with more practice he'll be a great barber , I then explain that I was getting my haircut for my fiancé's baby shower and I really needed the cut , the owner then apologized again and offered to make it right once my hair grows back or whatever, I then asked if there anything I could do to save it , he told me no that I would have to shave it or let it grow out , being told that it was like a punch in the face but I understood that those were my only options, he then gave me his business card and told me to contact him and that he would accommodate me because of this situation, the owner was very professional but at what cost , my hair cut looks like a blind person cut it . I do recommend the too barbers who have there own room in the barber shop but I wouldn't go for a walk-in , I would post a picture but I can't bring myself to do so because looking at my hair cut make me going into a rage and I really hate it , just take my word for it it's F**ked up

Smiley's is a barbershop for black people (generally) and located in a trailor under the I-49…read morebridge downtown Alexandria off 3rd Street. The shop is owned by Smiley and his four barbers. Although the shop is in a small trailor, the inside is very clean and professional. The 5 barbers are all great at cutting hair. The customers that come here are respectful and include all ages of men (mostly adult men between 20 and 60). Simley will usually cuts hair for the older men, while the other 4 barbers cut hair for the younger men. The price for the average haircut is $12.00 (plus a tip if you like your haircut of course). Smiley usually has the big screen television on the ESPN or has the Stero playing old (black) people music!! The atmosphere is nice and the barbers have a good relationship with each other and their customers. I'm sure there is a good topic about sports or something else going on at all times of the day in the shop. The wait is usually from 30 minutes to an hour...depending on how many people are waiting. Of course, do NOT go on Saturdays (the busiest day). The time to go is around 12:00-2:00 Tuesday-Friday...since they are closed Sunday and Monday. There is also parking in the grass near the shop or across the street from the shop on a concrete area.
