Was referred to Dr. Sturm by another counselor, who did not have availability to see me. I left a message for Dr. Sturm (no one answers the phone, you can only leave a message), and waited about two days with no response. I called and left another message, and she called me back. She told me she was quite busy, and honestly, immediately made me feel like I was bothering her. She informed me that she wouldn't even be able to look at her calendar until the following week, and at that point I could make an appointment. She said she would call me back, or I may have to call her back if she forgets (get a reminder app for your phone!). She has not called me back and guess what? I'm not going to call her back, either. I would like to point out she did not ask me if I felt like I was a threat to myself or anyone else, or if I needed to see someone immediately. Glad I wasn't about to jump off a building or swallow a handful of pills. This, my friends, is why people don't seek help, and if they do try, they are met with this kind of uncaring response. She did ask what my insurance was, though, because of course, that is the most important thing here. I spent a few days petting my cat and talking to a friend and I feel much better now. Dr. Sturm - once you're unbusy - seek counseling for yourself. You are in no position to help others. read more
