I hired her to work on a brand new dress that still had its tags on. One day before I had to leave for my wedding I finally received my dress after a month, I tried it on and was not happy with it. Candice reassured me that it looked great and to take it home to try it on with my accessories and she would 100% be able to work on it the next day if I still wasn't happy, which is the only reason that I left her work shop. I called her immediately when I got home because i was so unhappy with the dress. She responded to my message the next day to let me know that she did not have the time to correct her mistakes. She was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I then had to track down a proper seamstress 2 days before my wedding and pay an extra $400 to fix it. This is all after I showed up for my second fitting with Candice to be rushed/kicked out with no apologies because she had a lady driving in from Vancouver who had her wedding the next day. I had to cancel a very important meeting to make that fitting because I knew how important it was to get it done ASAP and she just blew me off without even letting me know before I showed up. I have pictures of the terrible sewing job that shows gaps in the seams and it was so crooked my new seamstress was disgusted. I chose a baby pink shade from her spool of yarn and she ended up putting a mauve shade of pink on the sleeves instead that did not match anything at all. Instead of purchasing new fabric she just took fabric off another dress she was working on to cut corners. I ended up paying her $180 for a rushed hack job and was absolutely devastated trying to frantically find a proper seamstress! On top of it all my dress had a musty odour to it because she works in her garage and I had to get it dry cleaned as well to get the stench out!

I thought I was ordering a slim A-line with a small puddle style train, but the dress that arrived had a very full skirt and a long trailing train and I didn't like how i looked in the mirror. I did not like it at all and would not have chosen it if it looked like that when i tried it on. Needless to say, I was devastated as I had tried on so many dresses and that sample was the only one I loved and felt confident in. My wedding was 3 months away. The only option i had was to have it altered to look more like the dress I tried on. Fariba came to the rescue! Her talent and expertise is next level! Extensive alterations were required. She spent so much time with me making sure I was fully informed and sure of what I wanted to do. In the end we completely cut off the train, removed the pockets to be able to take more fabric out of the skirt, hemmed the dress to the perfect length, added built in bra cups and took in the bodice and straps. In the end it had become the dress that I had fallen in love with. Aside from her amazing skills, Fariba's kindness and huge heart meant the world to me.
