Selling the house was part of wrapping up a divorce, and Melissa had been explicitly instructed to run any offers, price changes, etc., by both my ex-husband and me more than once (all three of us meeting, in person). The price dropped and dropped and dropped, but it was so stale it didn't really matter. She presented an offer after the looong nine months to only my ex, who countered. I called her and again expressed that my signature was required to sell the house and she needed my approval, so please involve me in the sale of my house before calling a buyer's realtor. She and my ex accepted the next offer, again without contacting me. Had I been a jerk, I could have shown up to the closing and refused to sign, since I'd never agreed to a single term of the sale and had signed nothing accepting any part of the deal.
