This was my first experience with a Doula, as my first pregnancy was during COVID and I went with the "flow" of utilizing the hospital staff and OB staff that I saw regularly. The difference between my births was night and day. I didn't realize how different birthing a baby could be when you have the help that Deb gave me! I enjoyed the process of laboring through contractions instead of immediately getting an epidural. Deb knew and understood that I still wanted a traditional hospital labor (I have other medical conditions and this made me most comfortable). She adapted to my needs and stayed up to date with my overall health, not just my pregnancy. She was very respectful when it came to how reserved I was showing any personal body parts, a huge plus for me. I would absolutely recommend her and if I wanted another baby would definitely use her services again. read more

I am a relaxed, down-to-earth doula who brings a calm and supportive presence to the families I work with. I believe in meeting people where they’re at—with care, compassion, and a good dose of realness. My approach is all about helping you feel comfortable, confident, and truly supported throughout your birth journey. Every doula brings their own personality and strengths, and mine leans toward being easy to connect with and deeply respectful of your unique path. I really believe that choosing a birth team that aligns with your values and energy makes all the difference—and I encourage you to find the person who feels right for you. If you’re exploring options, I’d love to offer a free consultation so we can chat and see if we’re a good fit. History

Established in 2023.

The journey to starting Deb J Doula Services began long before two years ago. It really started back in 2018, when I realized I needed a change. I knew it would be a leap—stepping away from what I knew to follow something that felt meaningful—but I couldn’t ignore the pull. I’ve always had a passion for supporting people through healing, and I knew I had to see where that path would lead. Funny enough, that path brought me all the way back to the beginning—birth, and the journey of motherhood. Since then, this work has transformed my life in ways that are hard to put into words. But here I am, doing what I feel deeply called to do: mothering the mothers, as we say in doula speak.
