I had been going to Famulare for a decade, and had many pieces worked on or created here. I had dropped off two watches my husband inherited from his late brother, they were sentimental, and I had also dropped off a ring that I needed a stone reset in. I commute and would have needed to pickup in one trip on a weekend. A woman working called because the watches were done, and she wanted them picked up immediately during the week even though my ring wasn't ready. I called to tell her I commute, and can't come during their business hours. She was very agitated and said they can't hold the watches in their safe until the ring was completed and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable with not being able to pickup like they wouldn't hold my watches safely. I asked over two or three calls to pickup my order on the weekend which she pressured me to come during the week despite not even being able to get there in time. It's almost like she wanted me to take time off work which was outlandish. When I made it there a couple of days later, thank god my ring was done and I could leave and never return. Although the other staff was apologetic, I told them what damage her behavior did and that I don't think I would return knowing they don't value the customer's time or even make the customer feel like our valuables were being kept safe. Not sure if I will return, they comped my fee which I didn't ask for but I am not sure I would bring anything else in. It's a shame. Ten years and I'd referred people and one person soured my experience.

She booked the appointment online and was never informed of any appraisal or handling fees. When my wife, her cousin, and I arrived, we received no warm welcome whatsoever. We were about 15 minutes late due to being new to the area and accidentally going to the wrong location, and we apologized immediately. From that moment on, the older brunette woman who assisted us was rude and dismissive. There was no small talk, responses were short and snippy, and the overall customer service was very poor. When my wife asked for an estimate to sell some items and have a bracelet repaired and cleaned, the employee scoffed and said, "Just so you know, this is exactly why I asked how many items you had -- because we charge a fee." I explained that this fee should have been mentioned upfront or charged when the appointment was booked online. I also expressed that she had been rude since we walked in and made us feel completely unwelcome. Management may want to address customer service expectations with this employee.
