Deadmans Beach is ALIVE and well with gorgeous blue water, great waves for surfing and swimming, holes and gutters for fishing enthusiasts and a nice trail for walks leading up to the forest of Menzies Bluff.
It is exactiy 77 miles north of Sydney and 1102 miles south and west of the beautiful island of Vanuatu with Fiji just 610 miles beyond. The blue Coral Sea is to the north and the gorgeous Tasman sea to your right or south as you look in the direction of New Zealand.
The waves and the wind here make for the perfect surfing conditions. This is far enough from Sydney for a nice, quiet picnic and day in the sun with temps at summer end still in the upper 80's.
This was a great, mellow and restful spot. There are 20 parking spaces a short walk away. So don't be a Bludger( Aussie slang for lazy) and come join me for Brekky( breakfast) "out in the bush"( away from civilization) , heaps of fun and some Gnarly Footy( soccer). read more
