When I had my baby I was here for a week and my son was in the NICU for 11 days. We had an amazing…read moreexperience here and I am grateful. I had a very long labor with complications and when I finally delivered I had 2 doctors, 4 nurses, plus 3 from the NICU team in the room with me. My son was immediately attended to and taken to the NICU. After this experience I would never have my baby anywhere else. We were both very carefully monitored. The staff on the maternity floor was wonderful, every nurse was truly exceptional and a couple really made a difference in my stay.

Absolutely horrible hospital. We had a horrible experience with Sacred Heart Pediatric ER in…read moreregards to our 2.5 year old daughter. She unfortunately fell while playing with her siblings and bit a large gash into her lip/cheek with her teeth. The ER doctor said that the procedure would be easy and successful. However, the two sutures that they put in were completely gone within 3 hours, leaving the wound open and painful for our daughter. My wife called in for medical advice the following morning, but all the nurses she spoke with said that the stitches immediately dissolving was totally common and happens all the time...which begs the question of why would they put us through all of this in the first place if they knew there was a large probability of it not actually working/doing anything? At least why wasn't my wife even warned of this possibility? Our daughter and my wife, were both extremely traumatized from the experience, the drugs/needles they used and the pain that our baby went through, basically all for nothing. Then, they billed us for multiple hours of Dr time, when the Dr was in for about 5-10 minutes. Dealing with the appeals branch of the hospital was just as painful as they did no real diligence into our situation and took them months to respond...

Christmas , a day no one wants to be sick or have to work on.The nurses were exceptional, caring and compassionate. On both occasions, the ER drs. were caring and offered the best treatment possible under the circumstances of my hypotension diagnoses. High praise for the staff beginning w/the front desk!

A follow-up to my review:…read more **please take note of my 'previous' review. It reflects many of this hospital's "ER's"performance reviews. *I submitted two complaints*. The first one was several letters to hospital upper-staff. I wanted them to know what is going on in their ER. I wanted justice. I wanted something to be done. I was told the staff acted in accordance to protocol. The letter written back to me ignored the fact that I was ignored for 4 to five hours while suffering with extreme abdominal pain, vomiting, and nausea. They also disregarded my complaint about the Drip-Line issue. (Sort of bushed it under the rug). There was no mention or apology about staff behavior. **My second complaint was to a government agency that deals with review on matters with hospitals around MEDICARE. I filed this complaint with the government agency because I could not figure out why I was treated this way. Someone had mentioned this agency to me. My question was: was I treated this way because of my MEDICARE status? Again: "staff behaved in a matter consistent with protocol". Yes, all tests were done. It did not mention anything about the rudeness of the staff. And the treatment as a human being that I had gotten. Again: the drip line was swept under the rug. And again: there was no mention of my 4 to 5 hour wait as I suffered in pain, vomiting and nausea. Rudeness=especially intake staff and nurse. I spoke on the phone with a person from the government agency. She had asked me, what do you want to get out of this? She said, 'they acted accordingly'. 'The timeline of events measure out'. Then I told her, I just want an apology. I would like to sue, but according to you, I don't have a case. She said, they aren't obligated to apologize, so don't expect it. She could clearly see that I was upset over this. And basically said, without saying it, "just drop it".

ATTENTION: If you ever receive a Vaccine Injury from Kaiser, make an appointment immediately, then…read morewithin 50 days reach out to a Federal Attorney that specializes in SIRVA injuries. Kaiser will do everything like in my case to delay the situation until it is too late. They also didn't document my initial complaint and office visit when my stiches were removed. Because of this, I am not eligible for a federal vaccine program that they should have recommended to me instead of putting me off and not fulfilling the record of my initial complaint. They also promised to pay for an X-Ray and office visit which I am now being billed for. This is borderline malpractice. The worst care I have ever received. I came in to have my toes stitched up after an injury. They said I needed a hand surgeon to repair my injury and sent me off to the Emergency Room. Unfortunately, before I left, they gave me a Tetanus shot. It seemed like it was the first time the person had ever administered a vaccine because the other 2 caregivers in the room cheered weirdly. The shot was injected too high on the arm causing a SERVA injury (Shoulder Injury Related to Vaccine Administration). Even though my toes have healed and I didn't need a "hand surgeon," 7 months later I still have the shoulder injury. Kaiser Permanente doesn't seem to care. I have basically been ignored. My first complaint was taken from someone I could barely understand in Manila, Philippines. Kaiser promised to investigate and get back in contact with me in 30 days. This did not happen. I have made 3 calls to Jennifer the facility manager and she has not returned my calls. I contacted the Department of Health only to find out you can't make a complaint to them because for some reason they don't have jurisdiction over this facility. My paper work from the incident doesn't show which physician or physician assistant was present nor which staff member administered the injection which injured me. Was hoping to have this addressed quickly so that others aren't injured or have a similar problem. If you need care, I would steer clear from this location because from my experience they don't seem very well trained, professional or caring.

They have genuinely never helped me with anything. The only way I've ever been helped was if I tell…read morethem what I have and then they will check for it and confirm. Other than that they will always tell you you're fine and are very rude when you ask questions of any sort. They do not want to hear your questions and will always rush through your time with them. My biggest problem was I asked them to do a POTS test on me(postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), and they did and confirmed I probably had it. So I called and asked for a note to give to my work because I tend to faint a lot or need to sit down briefly to avoid fainting, and wanted to let them be aware of my confirmed issue. They were very rude and told me they would put in a request from the doctor, but never did. I didn't even bother to call again because they are always rude over the phone.

Receptionist seemed more concerned about my ID than about why I was being seen, and when I was seen, it was by a pair of nurses but no doctor ever came in. The monitor I was given after waiting FOUR MONTHS didn't even work. It was fitted to my chest and I was given extremely rushed instructions and told the "phone" I was given would let me know about any problems with function. It worked exactly 20 minutes before it repeatedly kept telling me the monitor had "poor skin contact" (this was after shaving part of my chest with the world's dullest disposable razor). The machine did this repeatedly throughout the night, making sleep nearly impossible. Either set me up with the right equipment or at the very least, don't make me wait a third of a year for faulty equipment (which apparently needs to come from the other side of the country?). My blood pressure and nerves really don't need more aggrravation, especially from an office with 18 doctors--none of whom even bother seeing the patient on their initial visit.
