It's a classic European inn with a restaurant and rather lively bar on the ground floor. If you arrive late as I did, your key will be waiting for you in the bar. Once the bartender has figured out which one is yours, he leads you to a tiny elevator. My room was on the 4th floor and I was pleasantly surprised that it was so large with a very spacious bathroom. It also had a very big balcony which I couldn't use because it was covered in snow and absolutely freezing outside. (I was there in December and don't recommend going at that time of year!) The bed was comfortable, the heating worked well, there was plenty of workspace and decent lighting. The furnishings were spare and understated. The accompanying breakfast was typical: fatty bacon, some kind of egg frittata, fruit, yogurt, cereals, breakfast pastries (but NO Belgian waffles disappointingly), cheese and cold cuts, a few juices and passable coffee. Nothing fancy, but perfectly serviceable. In fact, I'd say that about the hotel too.

I had to have surgery, an appendectomy, and I am currently recovering in the hotel until I return home to the United States. The staff has gone out of their way, above and beyond, to make sure I am comfortable as I recover. I would like to send a warm personal thank you to them for that. The food has been amazing. The view out of my window is beautiful and peaceful. It is a very nice hotel and is run by very nice people. Highly recommend for any stay or event. I will definitely be back when I am well.
