Paagman, Oh Paagman.... is there anything you don't have??…read moreFrom an adorable flower stand outside your doors, to nice washrooms, free wifi, and CANADIAN coffee?!?!? AND 3 "stores" in one? electronic/office Paagman, the COOLEST Childrens store section on the Fred, and a Large selection of books, and adorable cafe, and a post office?!?!? Talk about your one stop shop! 3 entrances at least on the outside each leading to a different section of the store... Easy to think they are not one and the same! How surprised was I to see you served Kicking Horse Coffee..... SO SURPRISED!!! The back cafe almost makes it seem like you are not in a store at all. The kids section is so cool, you can watch movies, and play games, and theres a teeny tiny mouse house with a doorbell. I loved Paagman and Paagman you could spend a good portion of a day in there very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.

You can also send international mail or purchase a chip card (enabling you to ride on the Tram and use other forms of public transportation in Holland). They also have a restaurant in back that serves decent drinks and snacks. Most important for any newbie to the Hague: free Internet. Apart from McDonald's - weird right? - Paagman is probably the best place to go to simply sit down at a coffee shop and respond to emails or simply surf the net

It's fascinating, but the best part you can find in a little room at the store on the first floor. Here you can find pool tables dating back from the 18th century! Did you even know they played pool (or was it snooker?) back then? There's also a little room with discounts which is cool. You can find some cool vintage lampshades for a good price. Sure a lot of bookstores sell mags too but this place was wall-to-wall in magazines and you would be amazed at what kinds. Honestly, pick a subject and you have an excellent chance of finding a mag on the topic. Personally, I love art and literature and there were many in the back part of the store. The great thing is that there are also mags in English. I don't mean just a few stuck in a corner somewhere but a large part of the stock has English ones. On the artsy side, I picked up one on graffiti art and flicked through some literary review ones. I honestly could have spent the whole day in there and spent a lot of money on several purchases. That's the main problem though; they're not cheap! Sure you can get some in the 5 Euro area but the big glossy art type mags can run a lot more than that. Just bring your credit card with you!

A friend and I went to Vindingrijk today since they "opened" a new retro games section…read more First of all, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. My friend bought a PS2, but it was packed with a PS1 controller. Without any issue the staff member helped my friend get his PS2 controller and even allowed him to test the console in the store. The store itself is large and open, and well layed out. Upon entering, you immediately get a good overview of the whole store. Comparing the prices to other stores, they are very reasonable. I've been to other charity stores where they often still put rather large price tags on items like furniture. Here at Vindingrijk there's prices you would expect for the furniture they offer. The only downside is that they advertised a lot with vintage fashion, but I found none to little clothing that would fit in the 'vintage' section. Most of the clothing they sold were things that, honestly, no one would want anymore. The plus side is that they did have fitting rooms (you don't see that too often in these types of stores).
