I bought a bag of beans and ordered a flat white while the hubby ordered a pour over. The bean choice was awesome, very light and fruit forward. The person making the drink was super friendly, warm, and knowledgeable in his recommendations of beans and had a great playlist to boot. The space is long and has a few tables inside, bench seating out and a couple of tables. They have a wide selection of beans for purchase along with mugs, accessories, and merch.

We had a great evening at "Klein Parijs" - full five stars!…read more Klein Parjis is located in a small street near the marketplace of Harderwjik and looks quite unimpressive from the outside, but if you come in it gets cozy and appealing. My company and I felt comfortable instantly. The man, I suppose it was the owner, offered a perfect service all over the evening. We followed his recommendations and started with two single oysters, which came on a plate which was really nice decorated. Beside the mandatory slices of lemon there was a relish of shallot which was a really good idea to the salty oysters. For the main course we picked the Chateaubriand. The waiter sliced and served it beside our table, the meat was just perfect to me, a great pleasure over all. As dessert I got the strawberrysoup (Aardbeiensoep) with lemonice, black olive and cream cheese (?) from the goat. With a bit of mint it was a interessting and "lekker" experience. The olive perished a little bit beside the cheese, but I liked it a lot. Thanks for the lekker evening!

The owner so kindly gave me a table, even though it was wound up being s full house on a Saturday night. I normally eat at a bar, as I am usually dining alone, but I choose the last table. Super communicative staff prevented me for sitting alone and quiet for too long. They translated the menu for me and ordered soup, rabbit, and several glasses of wine. The dinner was perfection. Absolutely delicious and spot on. I order rabbit whenever possible and I consider myself somewhat a snob about it. I had such a wonder twist on it with the dish I ordered. Thank you and compliments to the team at this restaurant.

Very good service and well-priced food with a good choice of beer…read more There food choice and size of the place makes Mojo a good place for groups. The menu offers burgers, ribs, fish, and daily stampot. They also had ceviche and steak tartare on the menu. After a though choice between the Mojo burger and steak tartare, I ordered the steak tartare as a main course. It came with fries and mayo, you can replace the fries with oven potatoes. The small version of the steak is without fries. The steak tartare was not made according to Chef Robuchon's recipe, but was nonetheless quite good. It was finely minced and seasoned well with what I would call a sauce. Unfortunately, it was not served with a raw egg on top. It was plated in a very pretty way, with some salad and mini tomatoes on top. The place also had a little swoosh of dragon mayonnaise, which I found tasted good and paired well with the steak. There could have been a bit more of it :) The service was very good, attentive and pleasant. There is quite a bit of beer to chose from, but one can opt for some G&T's as well. My final note is a personal one. The place is a bit too far if you have to come from the centre or western neighbourhoods of the city. Yes, I guess that might sound a tad spoiled, but I am putting it out there. I can see how this would be a great local spot, though. Also, they have a terrace next to the water, which I imagine is absolutely lovely in the summer.

My great friend and I were in Utrecht for a couple of days and decided to rent bikes and join the crowd and bike all around town. I had heard of this legendary pancake house in the woods and after a little bit of research realized it would make the perfect bike excursion for the two of us. So, we got all fitted and fixed up on our rental bikes and wearing NO helmets, started GPSing our way out of downtown, headed for the Theehuis Rhijnauwen. It wasn't too bad getting to the entrance to the forest, only a few close scrapes, but once we crossed over, we were biking in the open air with the most beautiful green spaces surrounding us. The rest of the ride was pretty fantastic. We saw friends biking in parallel sync, chatting away, and only wished that I was able to master my bicycle enough to do that too. Anyway, we arrived soon enough and found a spot to lock up our bikes. The place was hopping, but we got a table outside pretty easily. We were looking out on the greenest grassy field with two mini donkeys prancing around on a grassy knoll. The ONLY downside was that I had pre-ordered a tea service for the two of us, which was not great food-wise. I watched so many plates of big pancakes pass by longingly. Our tea service food was a lot of ok sweets and some salami, and then more sweets. Oof. On the other hand, there was no way I was going to let the disappointment of the food ruin the overall magic. Every time I looked over at one of those mini Dutch donkeys prancing around, they winked right back at me.
