Located across the street from the Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Homes, this Little Free Library is unrelated. And no, it does not necessarily contain any of the Little House books here.
This is a larger sized library with white shingles and a slate roof. It has a window for a door and inside, two shelves loaded with books. The window is on a sash so you can only access the top or the bottom shelf at one time.
Mostly fiction and paperbacks, so my three from home were welcomed into the mix as I reduce my own home library. The bottom shelf had a number of childrens books.
This is charter number 127848. There is no steward listed but the online caption reads, "This little library sits across the street from the Laura Ingalls Wilder Society Headquarters in De Smet SD. Laura was a world known author of a series of books of her family's pioneer life. She lived in De Smet during her childhood. Fitting to have a LFL in her town."
