Do NOT use this travel agent. A couple reasons, he takes your money and leaves you stranded. We had an issue with our flight and he basically said "sorry" while we were left to figure things out on our own. Contacted the airline and told them he was us- and was rude to them. Also, we paid about $450 for "upgraded" seats, which, according to the airline, was never even a conversation. We did get the insurance, however, the computer program this agent uses is not itemized and is very confusing to read, which left us very little in compensation for missed travel. I have no idea what happened to the additional $450. Buyer beware. We could have planned our trip on our own. Not even 1 star. read more

1 star cause 0 wasn't an option Don't take his recommendations on all inclusive resorts because he is obviously out dated on them or never been. Arrived in Cancun Mexio to have no ground transfers while others in our group had delayed and canceled flights were they were basically told they were on their own. Marty provided no assistance in getting to our destination. I have never experienced such poor customer service with travel. We went with him as that is where our group booked this group trip. I will obviously be sticking with The Travel Outlet in West Seneca where they actually go to these destinations and are up on the resorts they refer their clients to. After we had arrived at our resort Now Emerald there was nothing more but disappointment after disappointment. We were 5 days in and on our 3rd room. We were raped with an upgrade that was really just your average room. Painted chipped bathtubs and so soft you could possibly fall through the tub. With plunge pools that were cracked, chipping and pealing, over flowing toilets room service that doesn't answer their phones and an infinity adult pool that doesn't exist. Oh there was an adult pool with no infinity and no filtration. I posted photos. You guys tell me what kind of knowledgeable travel agent would refer this type of resort? read more

THE WORST TRAVEL AGENCY YOU COULD POSSIBLY USE. January 8, 2022, our family had a trip booked with Martin of DeSanto Travel to Jamaica. Two people within our party had a carry-on luggage to check in with American Airlines. They arrived at the airport with substantial time to spare but the line to check in bags was well over an hour long. The person at the check-in counter advised them to go through security with their bag and that they would check it right at the gate. After getting through security and getting to the gate, the representative at American Airlines told them that they cannot check the bag and that they have to go back to the front. (WTF?!) They then go back to the front of the airport to check the bag to only realize that they have less than five minutes to board the plane before the gate closes. Terrible. They chose to book a flight with JetBlue (amazing service by the way) to get on a flight to Jamaica with the rest of their family. Since we booked with the travel agent, we were not worried that we would be able to get compensated for these flights as they were at no-fault to us and should get a refund from American Airlines for these flights. I contacted Martin immediately. He advised me that he was going to contact American Airlines as well as the insurance (that we also purchased through him) to get reimbursed for these flights. Fast forward seven days later. We all go to check into our flights with American Airlines and those same two people who had the trouble with their baggage in Buffalo no longer have flights home. They try to check in through their app and there is no record of their flights whatsoever. I immediately called Martin with DeSanto Travel to figure out what's going on. He picks up the phone where I can immediately tell he is not really paying attention to me and is talking to someone else in the background. He told me that our reservation was "frozen" and he couldn't do anything. He told me to call American Airlines. I reminded him that it was the same two people that struggled in Buffalo to check their bags and had no choice but to book with another airline. He stuttered, and was confused as to what I was saying. He asked "what two people? What baggage issue?" Come to find out he never actually called American Airlines or the insurance company to get anything sorted out a week ago when he said he was going to. American Airlines said they canceled their flights since they were not on the original flights to Jamaica. After spending 3 hours on the phone with them, they asked me why my travel agent didn't call to get it sorted out a week ago. Had he called like he said he was going to, we wouldn't be in this situation to begin with. We wouldn't be stuck in a foreign country with no way home. They also told me that when you book through a travel agent they're the only ones that can change, modify, cancel, pretty much do anything with your reservation since they were the one who originally booked it. We spent our last day in Jamaica worrying about how they were going to get home and on the phone with the airline for 3 hours. We had no choice but to book and pay for flights home, on another airline. Thank god there were flights even available! We're in $1600 in additional flights and martin isn't responding to any of our calls or texts. He is completely ignoring all of us. In order to get a refund from American Airlines for the original flights, it needs to be requested by our travel agent. We're stunned that someone can act this way and leave us completely stranded and ignored. What a terrible company and travel agent. read more

Something strange about this operation ... No set office operating out of ... Appears prices are reasonable in Sunday Paper , but add not listed all the time .... Talked to person representing firm , possibly owner , but did not feel comfortable doing business over the phone .... I want to sit in office look at brochures and talk over insurance , excursions , flights , personal experience if they did experience what area I was interested in , whether cruise or all inclusive..... Might only be part time operation - never found out , went elsewhere with agent that ran the operation that suited me .... One last thing whoever is running this , a supposed agent or owner( if that's what is meant to be ) available only about 20% of time otherwise a recording .... huh ??? read more

Just a short while ago, I traveled with a large group to Walt Disney World. Our trip was planned and managed by Martin DeSanto from DeSanto Travel. To say that our trip was very stressful and unorganized is an extreme understatement. Our trip was filled with problem after problem which made for very stressful and frustrating portions of our trip. For the flight to Orlando, our problems started before we even boarded the plane. Our travel agent seemed to have reversed the names of our entire group putting our first names in the last name slot and vice versa, which caused extreme hassle and frustration at the airport. Because of this, and the delays it caused, some of the members of my group almost missed their flight as they were caught up at security and such. On Sunday, the day we were to come home, we ran into what I would call the biggest travel mess I have ever seen. To begin with, our group was split into 2 by our travel agent and not all placed on the same flight home. About 30 group members were placed on a flight home in the early afternoon and the rest of the group on a late-night flight home. Rather annoying, however we got over it. Arriving at Disney's Resort Airline Check-In in the morning began a day's worth of problems. We were informed that 2 chaperones, myself, along with 13 other members of my group did not have boarding passes to our flight. The agents could not find our flight information and/or ticket information. Long story short, our flight reservations were not there because our travel agent had booked the students on the earlier flight on both the later and earlier flights leaving 16 of us without tickets to come home. The 16 of us were forced to cut our day in Disney Springs short, which did not allow most of us to finish the shopping we wanted to do. We then were not able to take the Disney's Magical Express to the airport as we didn't have flight reservations. He then proceeded to blame one of our chaperones when they called to explain the situation and try to get help from him for it. Basically, we were told to handle the problem ourselves because it wasn't his problem and he didn't have time for us. Because of that, we were forced to pay over $200.00 for 3 taxis to take us to the airport. We arrived at the airport at 3:00 PM and our flight was not until 9:00 PM. After our arrival, we waited over 2 hours for our problem to be solved. In addition to that, names were spelled incorrectly on boarding passes which led to even more problems. All of the problems listed above were preventable and should not have happened. The agency was little to no help in fixing any of these problems what-so-ever. To say I was extremely disappointed is an understatement. I guarantee that I will never be using DeSanto Travel for any of my future trips. If you are looking for a good travel agent to prevent problems like this from happening, I highly recommend you look someplace else, because DeSanto Travel is certainly not the place. read more
