Like many Yelp'ers, I would hardly consider myself a regular at the TRANZAC Club. I come here once…read morea year for Queen's Players (Queen's as in the university and not the borough in New York). It's a-ok. The bathrooms are a tad nasty .... the low-quality beer's reasonable .... the space can accommodate a significant number of people. Anyway, this place (when I go to see the Queen's Players) is an escape to a time when I was a naive, carefree university student at Queen's.

Long time listener, first time visitor!…read more I've heard the Long & McQuade musical instrument ads on radio for years. And Lo and behold I finally visited with the family to pickup a larger-sized violin from this location. The store has a huge assortment of different instruments including new and used in its various sections ranging from guitars to flutes to saxophones. Some instruments can be tried and we noticed a few young musicians playing the piano while waiting for their music class. Indeed this store also features a set of teaching classrooms in a back corner and many families appeared to come into the store to attend their session. Our sales rep was quite patient letting us test several different violins and answer our questions regarding the brand quality and the differences size. We were able to get a good deal during the Black Friday sale with help from the manager. Our case and bow were also checked to be of good quality. The family left impressed with the service. Skip it or hit it? Come for the reputation, stay for the service.

I haven't been here in years, but I was so happy to see its personality is still top-notch…read more My partner Todd and I went to see Wang Chung perform. It was a personal, intimate concert with great sound - the band was awesome - a real blast from the past! Ah, memories... But I also have to mention the staff - particularly Michael (Mike). As someone who has had to adjust to being slightly disabled (I have to use a walker), it can obviously be a challenge. Mike was professional, but also very charming, while he took us to a comfortable spot by the stage for the show. He was very attentive, and even checked back on us a couple times before the band hit the stage - he was such a pleasure. He is truly an asset to the ElMo. He was definitely one of the highlights of the night for us. Thank you Mike! You're a Rockstar...we can't thank you enough.

It's been ten days since I purchased a Boss Katana 100W Gen 3. As a former Fender Princeton owner,…read moreI appreciate the Katana presents a learning curve. But the amp has great potential and I'm getting more familiar with it. The best part so far is just how well the Katana responds to playing dynamics. Special recognition goes to Long & McQuade sales associate Bryan Collie. Bryan was knowledgeable, low pressure and fully transparent on the trade-in value of my older tube amp. The entire process has been enjoyable.

After texting and getting information about rooms available, I travelled for 1h20m this past Friday…read moreDec 27th to Jam Chamber, where I met in person Sebastian who showed me the room. I said I was interested and I need to confirm for my band members, he said it would NOT be a problema to hold until Monday - "No problem at all" his words. Now it is Monday the 30th, I called in to confirm and close the deal. Sebastian said he rented the room to somebody else and said "I gotta keep the business running". He didn't even give me a call to say "Hey Dan, you were here on Friday and now I have someone interested, if you are not going to close now I will rent to someone else". Because if we knew there was another person to close we'd have transferred immediately over the weekend - after all he said he was going to hold no problem so how would I know? This is the most disrespectful and unprofessional situation. His words mean nothing, I wasted time and money to go there and he doesn't care. He offered another room that is smaller, and used as storage room, no windows, and for the same price!! Not even said "sorry I made a mistake", after all we are humans, instead he's proud and gives zero fuck since now he's got his money and the room rented. If you are looking for someone honest and professional, this is NOT your spot.

The sponsor 407 had a Photo Booth that we could get a puppy toy after. My kid likes the doggy toy so much. They could also get a candy jar, but I wouldn't let her eat so much candy at her age. The performance was starting at 2pm. We had to start waiting in line from 1:30pm. Even though we waited in line, we still needed to go to different levels try from different doors. That's a bit unorganized. It was so great the performance. The sound in the orchestra was amazing. Just we got the seats from a bit higher and side, so we couldn't really see them. We definitely enjoyed the show. I like to come again with my family.
