I was a regular customer and purchased all my liquor and wines from them. They used to match competitors prices, then someone had a brilliant idea to stop. So...... I stopped shopping there. It was actually the straw that broke the camel's back. Edna is the only genuinely friendly person there. The lady who replaced Butch was always unprofessional, disheveled and didn't ever make eye contact. As for the ambiance, it's nothing to talk about as it was vanilla at best. I shopped once at the other location in Kingwood and got the same impression. Maybe!!! It's the company culture!!! Good luck on customer retention.

Not sure how updated their inventory is as we were looking for Mama Mango or Mama Pomegranate & the store associate looked it up but said it wasn't in stock. She left & I was in the Moscato section & found the Mama Mango so we snagged a bottle. I had ordered a bottle of Ube Creme Liqueur as my friend texted that it was available so I ordered online for store pickup since I was in the area. I looked at the yummy Sauternes, a lot of which were rated 91+ pts! We have about 3 bottles at home so I just took note. I looked at the other liqueurs like Pistachios, Passion Fruit and the other fruity Moscatos I'd like to try someday. They even had Kosher wines & we were reading some of the labels which had Biblical names & titled. I'm usually buying some Caliveda Pinot Noir which is one of their best sellers. I stock up during the holidays when they have bundle deals. They have such an organized store and even have a Cigar area. They hold tasting classes in the back & upcoming ones will be for wine. We missed the Tequila tasting so we'll check another location. They have great deals as rewards members so sign up!

Awesome customer service. For that one dude. But it was poor customer service for the rest of us in line, who have been to stores before and were courteous enough to arrive at the checkout counter with ALL the merchandise we intended to purchase already. About three minutes into a game I like to call "8,000 bottles of wine - 1 impressively inefficient cashier on duty", I decided it would be best if I try to frequent businesses who are financially solvent enough to staff two or more cashiers during peak hours. So I saved time at checkout by...driving elsewhere and purchasing my goods. I'm hoping, but not overly confident, that by the time you read this review the lager situation is resolved.

Total Wine _ Totally Awesome…read more I want to take a moment to share my heartfelt gratitude to Front End Supervisor Lori and Total Wine Associate Chris for making such a special time in my life even more memorable. As I was preparing for my upcoming wedding, I wasn't very familiar with spirits or selection, but Lori and Chris went above and beyond to guide me through the process. What truly touched me was the warmth they brought to the experience. On my second visit, Lori greeted me with the most genuine hug, something the extrovert in me absolutely loved and as stressful as this planning was, I needed it. She reassured me that she was there to support both my fiancé and me every step of the way. With their thoughtful recommendations and even spirit tastings, what could have been stressful turned into something seamless and joyful. I am deeply grateful for their kindness, patience, and care. They didn't just help me pick out drinks, they made me feel celebrated. Highly Recommended~

They're big on the biggest of brand names. The staff is patient and friendly. The make suggestions, based on what they drink, and the little signs along the aisles on what Margaret the cashier drinks are helpful. The wine selection is okay. The beer selection focuses on the higher end stuff. I think there's cheaper prices next door at HEB if you're looking for Lone Star or Shiner Bock. Twin Liquor's beer selection is more for the harder to find, focusing more on IPAs. They offer all the airline bottles behind the cash register. Parking is easy- it's located out next to a pizza joint and a big HEB. There's a USPS mailbox down the way, which adds to the convenience.

The employee put the phone receiver down and left me on hold longer than good customer service would dictate. When I called back, no answer. Needless to say I will not be spending money in Twin Liquors and will be sure to spread the word. Smh.

And sometimes they…read moremight offer prices that can represent real value on sale (but almost never premium whiskey...my interest), and the expansive selection can satisfy the intrepid shopper looking for the most unusual label. But sometimes, aren't there rewards in patronizing the non-corporate neighborhood retails? I agree. And so, I choose to shop Thrifty Liquors on Heubner. Today I met the very gracious owners, Antonio and his wife, and they shared a few special iterations of whiskeys, iterations of which I had no prior knowledge. The very good surprise: Antonio offered samples of these iterations. Yes, samples of the whiskeys just as at the larger purveyors. Yelpers, I enjoy supporting local businesses, and for my money, this Thrifty location is convenient, staff is super friendly, and the owners offer insight of their libations that I consider important. Can I recommend this neighborhood purveyor? Definitely! Drop in if you are in the area. Perhaps your experience will be as rewarding as mine! Be well Yelpers!!

This liquor store is known for low prices on national brands. Do you like the #1 selling vodka or rum? This is the place to go. They don't really have a deep selection, it's just the most recent, or best selling brands, and generally in the largest available bottle size. In Texas, they can't sell liquor at the Costco, a liquor store must be its own separate entity. That's why they're doing it like this. The wine selection is generally cheaper price points than the wine sold within the Costco. The selection isn't as great either. Other states sell Kirkland's Best vodka or whiskey. Not this one. They don't offer Malort here. This store doesn't really have any ambience, other than industrial storage. They could use some signs and some cool displays like other liquor stores have.
