Such a great wine and cigar shop! They have an excellent selection of wines and cigars, and everything is beautifully organized and easy to browse. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always helpful with recommendations. It's a great spot to find something special for yourself or a gift. Definitely one of my favorite places to shop for wine and cigars! read more

What an amazing spirits store. Very organized and inviting. They were friendly, knew their spirits, even had a sample table setup specifically for Valentine's Day! The owners are well versed in what they carry in their store and is full of recommendations if you need some inspiration. Sam and Blayden are truly the epitome of what small business looks like - inviting, knowledgeable, and friendly. Go check them out!! read more

I went to the restaurant next door to place a to-go order and decided to pop in to look around while my food was being prepared. To my surprise this was a beautiful liquor store! They had a nice selection of everything and they were doing a tasting of some wine barrel aged tequila and one of them u fell in love with and actually bought a bottle. Something I wouldn't have ever looked at if it wasn't for Luis. He was so helpful, and he didn't try to sell me and was able to answer so many questions I had about the brands he had on the counter for the tasting. I think I found my new favorite liquor store in this neighborhood read more

I was on the hunt for a nice scotch for one of my friends and they were able to locate it and keep it in stock and now we can always find it! Such nice people read more

Small little wine shop. I had heard Some hype that they had deep spirit inventory, but just not the case. They have some solid choices at fair to premium prices. But nothing special. Most of the items I was looking for weren't there. I will say the employees for very pleasant, and if you are looking for wine, much better selection. I always want to support local small businesses, but it just isn't for me. Wine, solid. Spirits average. read more

Good selection, decent prices , never heard of it before, good alternative to total wine , support local business

Roy and family run the shop and they are always there. Super friendly place. You always get the VIP treatment of a hello and them offering to help you with finding something. They have a great selection of beer, wine and spirits. Roys even has the rare stuff. I don't smoke, but his cigar assortment looks pretty darn cool. I was glad to find some weller bourbon, blanton's bourbon, mckenna bourbon, and 21st amendment beer that's seasonal. It was a very pleasant surprise. Thank you Roy and family! read more

Great place! It's a small place but it's a lot of quality! Great cigar selection & the wine selection is vast

Thank you Roy and Betty for the great service, hospitality and amazing drinks. Walking into your store feels like walking into a familiar place with good friends everywhere. Amazing spirit and wine selection and even greater people. Thank you read more

Amazing team at DB. The whole crew is extremely knowledgeable and fun to talk to. They have one of the best selections in town and are happy to help curate a selection of wine and spirits for a party. read more

They have a pretty decent selection of bourbon but the prices are higher than most places around. I found a few bottles almost $20 less at other stores. read more

Impressive collection of wines, spirits and cigars. I loved how they had an army of Macallan Single Malts to choose from. (The 15 year old in particular is an infrequent sighting at least to me). We wandered in here after a meal next door, so this was more of a browsing visit. Still, it was fun to linger and consider and to keep fresh in mind for future visits. Plenty of wine choices, too. Some of the way upper-end, while some more down to earth. If money is no object, you will hardly feel the dent in your wallet should you let yourself go a bit wild here. Apparently, this is not unknown to have happened at Roy's. I do look forward to my next visit. read more

Amazing selection of basically anything of quality! I've had a few cigars and they all have been great. Roy's selection of spirits are amazing if he doesn't have it he will get it. Thanks for being a professional! read more

Always a great selection and personal service. Sadly for me Roy has stepped back to enjoy life and sold the business to Bladen and Matt. They are exceptional and are really doing a great job elevating the store. Roy and his wife periodically stop by but so far it looks like they left it in very capable hands. Good luck to Roy and I wish Bladen and Matt the best. Very knowledgeable men. I still highly recommend this place. They are bringing in mew products just like Roy! read more

I had run out of a couple of bottles during the stay at home quarantine. I called Roy's after getting no answers from Lee and Total Wine. Roy answered and said yes we do have Sambuca and Tuaca. I noticed this place when it opened about a month ago. It is very close to my home so I stopped in one night instead of making a trip to one of the bigger liquor stores in town. Their prices were very competitive for the size of their shop, and they had a great selection of craft beers considering the amount of space they had. I've been in here a number of times since and every person who works there has greeted me promptly and offered assistance. On Thanksgiving day I was surprised to see they were open, and one of the people working recommended a Riesling that my wife really enjoyed. I never would have stopped here if it wasn't so close to home, but I won't be making a trip to Lee's anytime soon thanks to this place. I'd much rather support a small business that has better customer service. read more

I love Roy's Liquor! This place is personable and welcoming. Roy, Charlie and Bettie are all very kind and informative. The selection of wine is great! I am a Sommelier and choose Roys because he is always seeking out what the customer wants. He has a large variety of many regional wines, old world and new world.. He has a great beer selection including my favorite IPAs and seasonal selections.. If he doesn't have it, he will get it!! The cigar room is amazing.. I haven't seen one as pristine and well stocked as this.. If your looking for a local wine/ liquor/ cigar shop... this is the place. read more

Roy's Liquor Store is a friendly, classy establishment on the corner of Hualapai/Desert Inn in south Summerlin. They offer a wide selection that includes craft beers, fine wine, premium sake, Don Pilar tequila, and high quality cigars. Roy is easy-going and knowledgeable. The store is right next to Rachel's Kitchen, a gourmet café I love. I started dropping in whenever I needed a bottle of wine or sake. Along with the diverse selection, I noticed the cigar room, and though I'm not a cigar connoisseur, it looked too swank not to step into. The room is walled with cedar and equipped with humidifier to age and protect the cigars; there are hundreds to choose from; stacked high above the cigars are international-looking wood boxes. It smells fantastic, like you've stepped into a giant cedar cabinet. I imagined the "Most Interesting Man in the World" lighting a cigar and saying, "I don't always smoke cigars, but when I do, I prefer Roy's." There's more. Twice when I've dropped in he's had interesting, live tastings. First it was for Zing Vodka. The "Red Velvet" sample went down so smooth I bought two bottles. Having two gorgeous women selling it may have helped its case. The Zing bottles and glasses light up, too, creating their own festivity and allure as you drink. My friends enjoyed the Zing as well-the flavored version was easy to drink by itself, at room temperature. Then last Friday evening it was Don Pilar Tequila. Honestly I've never acquired a taste for tequila-until that moment. Even before drinking I noticed its golden, bright hue; then I could smell notes of toasty oak, fruit, and butterscotch. It tasted just like it smelled, plus a touch of pineapple, chocolate, and baked agave, then a warm slow finish of sweet oak. Suddenly I felt like the most interesting man in the world. Nick Christie, who was helping with the tasting and manages the Don Pilar brand for Las Vegas, told me Roy's would be the only place in Las Vegas one could purchase Don Pilar Tequila. http://www.donpilar.com/ If all this wasn't enough, Roy takes pride in his work and store. The store is always well-stocked, clean, nicely lit, and Roy greets you with a smile. These are the places I prefer to take my business. I also appreciate what he had printed on the back of his business card: Please Drink Responsibly. Don't Drink and Drive. http://lasvegastoppicks.com/roys-liquor-store-wine-cigars/ read more

I was just playing around with my phone in the car, searching for new things on Yelp and noticed this pop up. The BF and I are alcohol and cigar people so we like to leave no stone unturned. Our goal is to visit every nook in this valley. This is a small, but friendly place. They have your usual suspects, but also a pretty decent mix of small batch and a few bottles here and there I haven't seen anywhere else which probably would make the trip worth it for someone who likes to collect like us. Prices are average enough, but maybe for some common stuff at retail or a dollar or two. It's a independent store, so if you're looking for rock bottom deals on common party drinks, this may not be the place. Do come to support your locals, if you live/are in the neighborhood. I didn't find anything I must have, so didn't buy any spirits today. We went inside the humidor and it was a tiny bit hot there which was a bit worrisome, but we found the cigars to be fine. A few things we haven't seen at other humidors, .or were long gone. I ended up getting a Chateau Fuente King T tube. It was maybe $2 more than I've seen online, but I'll take it since I haven't seen it around. The guy at the counter was nice enough. We were curious about their cigar ashtrays and he offered a discount if we take it, but we decided not to. Overall, decent neighborhood liquor store with a above average collection for a small place. read more

Stopped in here the first time after having lunch next door at Rachael'sKitchen. I was surprised to find it was a small store with a large selection. Some of the wines a friend of mine and I found were very difficult to find at other places. They even had my favorite Chardonnay that I usually have to order online! About 10 minutes into our browsing both of us looked at each other and said the prices were better than or comparable to two large chains in town! Then they had us hooked. I've been back several times to pick up some of my favorite selections and the staff is always nice. My friend will also be back and he's happy to of found a nice new small liquor store with easy access and quick service. Top that off with great pricing and it's win-win! I'm not a cigar smoker, but a few of my friends are up told them about the place and all of them had rave reviews with regards to cigars. I would definitely make this a stop for gifting cigars as well, The only reason why they lose a star really has nothing to do with them but the shopping center their located in is a zoo! I would recommend that some of the businesses here reserve spots for their specific clients because sometimes it can be difficult to find parking. read more

Glad I'm finely getting around to reviewing this spot! SUMMERLIN this is a great hidden Gem!! Roy has an eclectic selection of everything, and I do mean everything, from wine, to beer, 25 year old japanese scotch, white lighting, and even cigars! He always has a smile on his face and is willing to help you find what you were or weren't looking for. To you cheap SOB'S out there this isn't COSTCO / Total Wine or the internet. This is a man's store, a man who has to pay bills and raise a family just like you and me. You want the cheapest price then go to those places. Keep in mind though that most importantly is they don't have Roy at their stores, someone who knows what he's talking about and cares that you leave the store happy and with something your going to enjoy by yourself or with others. read more

Excellent liquor store that has a lot of highly allocated spirits and wines. The owner is a really nice guy who is happy to get his customers anything he can. If you're a bourbon lover like me this store is a must see. read more

Guy up front is very nice. They have some hard to find bourbons that are way overpriced. This store price gouges to the max. They had Eagle Rare bourbon for $99. Got it someplace else for $45. They would give me a military discount whenever I was there but then changed that to once a month. read more

I moved into the Lakes two years ago and I desire convenience when I shop. I had first noticed Roy's when I paid a visit to the amazing Mastrioni's located next door. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how welcoming Roy was, and his wife when she was there. The next thing I noticed was his selection of amazing wines. He had a few of the usual suspects and introduced me to a number of high-quality wines on his usual Friday after work wine tastings. I am not much of a cigar smoker, but he has nice walk in humidor and is becoming quite well known as a source of high quality cigars. At the end of the day, I appreciate the selection of wines and their neighborhood friendly atmosphere. I refer all of my high end Summerlin clients to Roy's! read more

Knowing nothing about cigars and having to purchase a few for a secret Santa exchange at work, I quickly looked up the nearest smoke shop and found Roy's. My name is Roy, Roy's name is Roy, so I figured that would be the place for me. I wasn't wrong. Roy's boasted one of those fancy humid cigar rooms, a wall of different refrigerated craft beers, and a wall of liquor. Roy himself helped me find a few cigars to meet my $25 quota and helped to explain what I was buying. I was in and out in no time with the cigars, an interesting looking cinnamon horchata 6 pack of beer (for myself), and more knowledge of cigars than when I walked in. Long story short: Go to Roy's. read more
