Having returned to the states from an overseas assignment, I was in need of a tax prepare. I was looking for one that was competent, knowledge, organized and patient with me. Donna was all the above and more. Getting bumped around from state to state and country to country has taken its tool on keeping up with my rental property and federal, state and local tax laws. Donna reviewed my, somewhat disorganized, tax files and laid out my tax liabilities. I was impressed at the level of her organizational skills. Not only did she clarify my situation, but she explained to me, in layman's terms, ways to lower my tax liability and how to legally use tax laws to my advantage. When my returns were finished I found that monies paid to the state that has the rental had no right to state tax payments. The unexpected 5K windfall was awesome. Then I get a (How you doing?) from the government claiming I owe taxes for the money they spent to ship me back to the states. And owe by the way, I was on Military Orders.
