When something went wrong, I was blamed even when I was not involved in the situation whatsoever. I was treated as if I never listened, yet I was nearly the only one to remember to bring ribbon to the wedding venues so we wouldn't have to drive back. They ripped apart my work constantly, and nearly made me leave the floral industry entirely. I am thankful to have found compassionate and wonderful designers after this place. I have seen the mistreatment they have done to others during my time there as well. There's a reason why they can barely keep more than the same 2-3 people who have stayed there for so long. I will never forgive a place that treated me so poorly during a time of deep grief. I am not sure how a business that is centered around giving a thoughtful gesture to another person can be so lacking of compassion.

Big mistake! Personnel were stand offish not welcoming were rude about her prior purchase and overall unhelpful. Their stitch guide specified threads from a source which has discontinued operations 2 yr ago and they never bothered to update it! So my advice is purchase your projects elsewhere clearly they are unable to provide a pleasant retail environment unlike most LNS. Lesson learned !

The selection process was the best part - our sales associate was very knowledgeable and honest. I looked forward to coming into the store to talk to her! She made it easy and ordered any samples we wanted to see so that we could make the best/informed decision. Unfortunately, she left the store in the midst of our process to graduate from college and move on! Good for her, but we missed her! We ordered our invitations with the help of a different associate and the process seemed to go smoothly. The proof from the vendor came in on time, but the directions card was incorrect (not even the right motif). So I emailed the associate and asked if it would match the rest of the cards. I guess she missed that in the email because the directions cards came in wrong. So we had to wait another week for the cards to come in and another week to have The Write Image print our map on the back. Another issue that upset us was that we were charged $50 for color ink on the return address on the outer envelope, when we were never informed of this option (was not in the original estimate). If we were offered black, we would have said yes to that to save a couple bucks - invitations are expensive! I give The Write Image 2 stars because when I go to a specialty shop, I expect to get expert guidance, but a few things slipped through the cracks. It is too bad our initial sales associate was not able to help us all the way through or else I think we would have had a better experience!

The Write Stuff did have some really beautiful picture frames that would be a good gift for a wedding or graduation. The small calculator with an attached pen in a case that, at first glance, looked like it carried a pair of fold-up reading glasses, might get me back in the store. Otherwise, nice store that it is, it's not my type of place.

I found this company online while searching for a balloon arch/ garland. First off, the website needs some serious work. When I went to place an order for a 3-4 foot garland with 3 balloon colors, the drop down option was for only a 10 foot garland and not all the colors shown in the photos were listed. This wasn't a big deal as I just called and the owner instructed me to write out what I wanted in the text box. Next, on the day of pick up, I went to the address listed in the email which was in North Raleigh. I showed up at the North Raleigh "location" and called asking for help finding the address. She laughed and said she moved shops to North Hills, which she failed to mention when I had called 30 minutes prior to let her know I was on my way. Whatever, not the biggest deal in the world although it was highly inconvenient to be driving all over town in the pouring rain. I picked up my balloon garland at the shop and this was a pretty seamless process; however, because of the terrible weather I didn't get a chance to really look at the garland until I got home. I had asked for white, light pink, and hot pink balloons. As you can see in the photos, there's all different shades of pink, some glossy and some matte. There were only 2 hot pink balloons, which were weirdly placed on one end. Some of the balloons were already deflating and there was ribbon popping out in all different places. My MIL & SIL, who were in charge of hanging the garland and have lots of experience with this, couldn't figure out how to hang it and instead propped it on the floor. Ultimately, this garland was not worth anything close to $125 and looked nothing like the photos on the website, which I'm now realizing are just stock photos.

This particular day, my child was being difficult so we ended up leaving without finishing our paintings. I think we ended up having to go back two separate times, so having that option is so nice! The overall process for painting a ceramic piece is pretty simple. The staff is very helpful with assisting you when it comes to deciding on colors to use, brainstorming text ideas to include, etc. The location is small, but there is plenty of room! Everything there was really expensive too. $20 for a small piece. It wasn't even detailed. The chairs were ripped up and looked like a dog's 10 year old chew toy. They barely gave us any water to wash our brushes and no towel or sponge to get them dry.
