Because I had 3 cats with me, I decided to book a hotel room in advance so I could be sure to get a pet-friendly​ room. I'm glad I did, as when I arrived at the hotel around 9pm it was busy. The receptionist commented that it was busier than they expected. Checking in took a little longer than anticipated, as the receptionist had to change my room from one with 2 beds to one with 1 bed. This was fine with me, as I only needed one bed, but it took her a little while to do this on the computer. The unfortunate part of checking in was that I asked for a room near a side or back entrance. Carrying 3 cats in from the car, plus all their stuff and my stuff is a pain. I didn't want to have to walk very far since I'd have to make at least 4 trips (and I'd already been on the road for 8.5 hours). The room I ended up getting was closest to the main entrance and there was no parking available very close to the main entrance. I ended up having to park farther than I wanted and the walk to/from the car from farther than I would have liked. But I did somehow manage. The room was nice and clean -- exactly what I'd expect from a Comfort Inn. I had to laugh at the sign on the front desk though, as it said they'd won an award for the most improved rooms. I'm not so sure that's something to brag about because how bad do your rooms need to be that improving them gets you an award?! The cats all behaved themselves that night and I was able to pull the car closer to the main entrance to load the car (thank god). Check-out was easy and faster than check-in, and my cat Ben helped me with that, much to the delight of the front desk staff. I didn't end up getting anything to eat from the breakfast area as I wanted to get on the road and didn't want to keep running back inside the hotel. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Yorkton, but I don't know many people who'd be going through that area. My only complaint is that the KFC next door (within walking distance) closed at 10pm and had a limited menu 10 minutes before closing, so I didn't get anything to eat for dinner that night.

The front desk workers gave us a hard time as we had 3rd party complications and I tried to be very understanding but it was as if they didn't want us in the rooms we booked. Seemed as they were making up rules on the spot and withholding information that could've made the process smoother. After it was all sorted the workers couldn't even write a 3 correctly and we found ourselves outside the wrong rooms. Also the shower head was broken and again the front desk people insisted that it wasn't broken and they would've known if it was. And to top it all off I was bitten by bedbugs. DO NOT STAY THERE. My best advice is to get breakfast and leave as soon as possible

Is too much, but there was a fair amount if one looked closely. I felt the need to wipe the bedding. It looked clean, but felt really gritty. Mostly a white mineral of some kind which we didn't bother to report to make our stay more unpleasant given our check in experience and high volume of traffic. Check out lacked effort and was unpleasant. Unfriendly. Continental breakfast was grossly incomplete. It shouldn't take that long to replenish the bacon and there should be some kind of fruit available at 8 AM. We won't be choosing this hotel franchise in the future. Especially when we received no assistance in member services.

Our room was huge with a comfortable king bed, sofa, tons of table space and a couple of hassocks. Curved shower bar and decent water pressure. The carpet was worn but the rest of the room furnishings seemed pretty new. The chairs in the breakfast area need their seats replaced, but the selection was good. English muffins, toast, make your own pancakes, ham, cheese, omelettes, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, etc. The pool has a water slide. If I was in the area I would have no issues staying here again.

The rooms were horrible, and they only had a handful of non smoking rooms which weren't available for any of us so it smelled of constant smoke. The room overall was dirty and only 1 out of the 4 outlets worked. The next morning as we headed back to our hometown one of my teammates mentioned he acquired pink eye and there were roaches in his room.
