Quality Inn West is a very budget hotel - but a clean and functional one for a short stay where you…read moredon't plan on staying around the hotel room for very long. It's functional, but it's not particularly amazing either. It's safe-enough for the price point. NOTES: Quality Inn is effectively four buildings: two "hotel" buildings with two floors, a housekeeping building, and the front desk and breakfast building. This allows you to park pretty close to the room you're going to be staying in. It also means that bugs get into the room pretty quickly if you aren't careful too. PROS: -Room was clean when we got there. Very basic room, but it worked okay. Air conditioning cooled down the room really really quickly. -Bed was surprisingly comfortable too. We woke up feeling really refreshed. Pillows could be firmer, but isn't that every hotel room? -Hotel room has a ridiculously-large working refrigerator and a microwave as well. Bedside tables had outlets on top of the bedside tables. The carpeting and woodwork are obviously dated, but it looks like they've updated on the tech and the furniture and the bedding relatively recently. CONS: -Very, very small bathroom. As-in, you can't even pee on the toilet with an open bathroom door while sitting because the open door takes up more than half of the space in front of the toilet and brushes the toilet frame every time you open or close it. It's a very tight bathroom squeeze, and I'm glad we were staying the one night. It's just too tight for me. If you have mobility issues or are particularly large or tall, I'd seriously ask for handicapped rooms (if they have them) or just avoid staying here -Free morning breakfast doesn't have a ton of healthier grab-and-go options. They had some make-your-own waffles, cereal, breads, donuts, and muffins. I think some yogurt cups and the standard beverages too. Not a huge free breakfast, but it'll function if you just need some food. -Like others have mentioned, the town of Canton has a huge (and seriously smelly) paper mill in town. Luckily, the hotel rooms actually seem to keep that out of the room *really* well. We were safe in our sanctuary. You can definitely smell it outside, though. It gets worse the closer you get to the mill, but the hotel is decently far away.

Josh and Chad have done their homework sharing stories of the Yellow House's past by digging up photos from yester-year displayed around the property. And for my son (under 10 years old) they offer lightning-fast WiFi internet and TVs as I sit back in a rocking chair to soak up the surroundings which include multiple ponds, a stream, outstanding persevered woodwork, and imagination the activities which took place in the house when it was used to smuggle booze (make sure to ask to see the Yellow House's secret door). And if the kids really great bored, they can go Gnome hunting and maybe catch a glimpse of nature in the process. Thank You Josh and Chad for making us feel welcome and for your OUTSTANDING customer service offered to our Family. We loved staying over to enjoy all the comforts you had to offer which include your wonderful Breakfasts (our son loved the special ordered Chocolate Chip Pancakes and Peanut Butter Pancakes).
