What do you want to pay for when you choose a wedding photographer? The cost is generally the same…read morewhere ever you go $2700-$3500 and up but usually not down. I guess what comes standard is the wedding party pics, bride and groom, family etc. The shots are usually done by a photographer that has shot the same photos for every customer over and over again. For an artist/photographer that type of repetitious drudgery is soul squashing. Which means your photos won't have much gusto to them. My wife picked Ryan after requesting to her uncle, a professional photographer, that she wanted someone to shoot "edgy candids" Ryan over delivered in every regard. He immersed himself into the characters of the day and shot great portraits of everyone at the wedding. He was humorus and just about everywhere shooting his stylistic pictures. After I posted a bunch of his shots pn facebook, we received a flood of compliments on his work. We ended up with nearly 1400 shots, a wedding photo album, the images on CD all within 3 weeks post-wedding. They had previsouly been posted on his website shortly after the wedding. I had never met Ryan before the wedding and neither had Alycia but he happily devoted his day (missing a big NHL game that he would of been paid more money to photograph). I can't recommend Ryan highly enough.

Going outside of your safe space to take pictures of yourself can be an unnerving experience. I…read morepersonally know the feeling, but going through this process with a professional like Cindy allowed me to put those feelings completely at ease. To kick off the process there is a guide that she has put together, which answered all the questions I had about wardrobe and what I might do to better prepare for the shoot. Throughout the time up to my shoot there was more than enough time and a safe space to dialogue with Cindy about any other questions I had. Her questionnaire was also a comfortable way to voice any concerns I might have had. The day of the shoot I trusted her with the process, and she made it worth while. The reassurance was in the measure of all beautiful aspects I did not know were in me and how they outweighed the "flaws" I thought I had going in. Out of the experience I received more than just gorgeous pictures. The essence of who I am and what I can be, radiated in the way Cindy was able to capture my true beauty. The pictures allowed me to posses an everlasting keepsake to remind me of my true self, and also experience an awakening boost of confidence. Each time I look at these pictures in awe reminding myself this is ME. I believe having this experience is something we all need as woman at least once in our lifetime. Wedding planning is exhausting in ways I didn't expect, and I'd already dealt with enough unresponsive vendors and confusing contracts to make me want to elope. Falls Creek Farm was just... different. From the first tour, it felt organized and warm. They have put so much care into this property and it shows. The team is extremely responsive. They answer questions without making you feel like a burden. The property is 300 acres and absolutely stunning. It is so I'm gonna hack you picturesque. They are extremely flexible and give you the opportunity to bring your wedding to life and make sure it's exactly as you envision it. Our guests are still talking about it. If you're in the middle of planning and feeling the stress, go take a tour. It was the first time during the whole process that I actually felt excited instead of overwhelmed.

The footing inside the show indoor desperately needs to be redone. It has several high and low…read morespots and gets very hard after so many horses traveling on it without dragging. They also need to put a stop to allowing horses to be cross tied in the isle during busy shows. It's not only a massive fire hazard, but also created unnecessary blocks of foot traffic. It was so disappointing that every isle you turned down there was a horse blocking the isle. I'm surprised the fire department allows this! Additionally, the wash stalls seemed to plugged up with inches of water Thursday thru Sunday. The wash stalls were essentially useless leaving people to fight over other wash stalls.. and why do you have double wash stalls with only one hose?! My final recommendation would be to add a warmup ring next to the front outdoor show ring. It created a dangerous situation where people had tents and chairs set up in the same area horses where trying to warm up for their classes. People traffic and horse traffic in the same space is a guarantee liability issue. On a good note, the property is very well maintained and is a beautiful place to drive through. I appreciate the meticulous maintenance! Lastly, the outdoor lunge ring and warmup ring had excellent footing.

At the last minute we tried to work something out to have the photo booth for the extra hour so that he would not be setting up during cocktail hour, unfortunately he was unable to meet me halfway on the price. They were very accommodating when a couple of guests wanted to take some quick last minute shots. Only thing I would like to critique is I asked for a Tiffany blue background and was told that's not a problem. I got a silver one. Not a huge deal just found it strange. More props would have also been nice!
