I had a very poor experience with this contractor. I took advantage of the free estimate, and I had…read moreeventually followed and asked for a contract that we could sign to get the project started. This contractor came in with a blank contract template, asking me to sign it. There had been no details of the kind of work that was to be done, and when I mentioned the lack of information, he said I could fill it out myself. He kept insisting to sign the contract and give him an immediate deposit. I obviously declined signing a blank contract, and he started to try and intimidate me which I found so ridiculous. I just told him we will find someone else. Very unprofessional, and people should know.

First they sent out an Michael, who was unfamiliar with the type of rehab I was doing but tried to take notes and ask questions. He seemed to have an overall pleasant demeanor. Due to Michael's inexperience, Robb had to come out an view the property a few days later. Robb was supposed to be the expert on the type of renovation I was doing. Robb showed up 30 minutes late for my appointment, did not call or text to inform me that he would not be on time. The meeting was good and Robb did seem to be knowledgable. I asked him about the use of subs and he said that subs do all the work for him. I asked if he would be open to working with a sub that I had already hired and he said that he would. He explained to me that the company also offers Project Management services, so that I could use them as that instead of the full General Contractor. Robb then told me to expect an estimate by Wednesday of the next week, we met on a Friday. I wrote them an email a week after failing to receive the estimate on the Wednesday it was promised and was told that the only was they would work on my project was if they were the GC and used only their subs. Obviously this was different than what I was told in the meeting but I wanted to see the price that would be quoted to me. I agreed and asked for them to send me the estimate, which I still have not received. I would be leery of hiring them due to misleading claims. The refusal to work with other contractors is also concerning. I have a family member who does similar work and he said to never work with a GC who refuses to work with subs that aren't theirs, that is a huge red flag. Everyone is allowed their preference but that typically means the person/company is shady. I also had to chase them down to get any information on the estimate, so if hired I would probably have to chase them to do the work.

We did not have a vehicle that could move the table, but since we lived in the neighborhood right around the corner they were willing to load it into the van and drop it at our apartment when they closed up at the end of the night. Truly awesome and did not make us feel like it was a hassle at all. We will look forward to shopping there again. They seem to run sales on their items regularly and the stock on the floor turns over weekly in sections. They have lots of big items, but also tons of smaller and/or cheaper novelty and fine art items and gifts.
