The doctor gave me a prescription for my medication. Unfortunately the pharmacy was closed and I had to work the next day and by the time I left work the pharmacy was again closed and I got another migraine so I had to return to the hospital and they proceeded to take care of me quickly! I got my relief and was so very happy with the care and the people who work there! I will NEVER go to another hospital again! I went to Advent Heart Hospital a month prior for the same reason and they not only kept me there OVER 5 hours they would not listen to me, gave me the wrong medication and charged me over $14,000. Then they discharge him with diabetes do not provide him a lunch, never told me that he was being discharged and could not wait ONE HOUR FOR ME TO GET THERE before they took him out of the room with no lunch no food no care!!!!!!!!!!! My observations are: Ashley, one of the night staff nurses provided exceptional care for me during my stay. I nominated her for a Daisy Award, so please give it to her as she earned it with kindness, attention to detail, answering any question which I had or offering to find out the answer she did not know. Please let your surgery prep nurses who worked my case my apologies and appreciation of their laughing to my answer of "Weenie Whacking" if I knew what procedure I was having. They also deserve a Daisy Award, as they made me very comfortable, as I was apprehensive before my implant procedure. The food was much better than I anticipated. I didn't give a 5 star review due to the following issues that concerned me: The base of the IV drip pole was filthy. I could see some liquid had been allowed to dry on it. It needed to be cleaned prior to having been brought to me. This led me a concern about sterility during my stay. The Hospitalist ordered every 4 hour blood work draws following a small sodium drop, but, the number was less than 10 points from the lowest ideal point. It might have been more efficient if they had bothered to step in and make an accurate decision on my needs rather than an action plan based on other's observations. Also, I suffer from seasonal allergies and requested ProAir to treat my slight wheezing and a check-in from the hospital's pulmonary staff. Neither the ProAir or the pulmonary staff member appeared. My domestic companion had to ask for my bandage to be changed as it was soaked with urine. We were both told that the doctor didn't like for "anyone to mess with his bandages" to which my companion (who is an RRT) replied, "He doesn't need to have a wet bandage on his open wounds..." The dayshift didn't keep us well informed as to our status during the discharge process. We had to ask when several times. All of this could have been due to training going on within the unit. I think if you fix these issues, you could have an excellent facility.

This was my first time at this hospital Center. I was having a procedure for my heart and my doctor…read moreworks out of this location. We arrived first thing in the morning and went through security who directed us to where we needed to be. Once upstairs, I signed in and waited till I was called and then did the rest of the check-in. It was just a short wait before they called me and back and started getting things ready. I ended up waiting about three hours for my turn in the rotation and once they got me in everything went pretty quick they already had IV set in my arm and shaved the area they would be working on. I was awake for the procedure, but I was medicated and I got to watch part of it on the big screen of the doctor was using. The whole team did a great job and was professional throughout. Everything went really well and then I was sent for postop. I did spend a lot more time there than I thought I would, but there were things they had to be sure of, and the doctor had to sign off on my release at the end. The nursing staff kept me pretty well informed and checked on me continuously while I was there. When it was time to go, they went over all the care and procedures I would need and provided me with paperwork to cover everything. They also sent my new prescriptions to my pharmacy. If you needed an outpatient heart procedure here I can genuinely recommend them. I hope I don't have to come back for anything, but if I do, I know I will be well cared for.

As soon as I got in a room I was getting some pain medication. The admitting doctor knew I was in much pain, he was so very nice and even asked what oain cocktail worked for me, I told him and in 5 minutes was ordered and his instructions were " give her what she needs when she needs it within reason. I was admitted to the 3rd floor and my nurses we're absolutely fantastic!! Cindy, Julia, Kyle and the nursing assistant absolutely took great care of me and went over and above! I found out I needed surgery because I had a blockage andvi needed someone to pray with me and when my orderly came to get me, he prayed the sweetest prayer ever!! I was scared to death to be put to sleep because the last time I had aspiration pneumonia and did NOT want that scenario again! I had no problems, was not sick and the showed me everything they did! Dr. Pilkington explained everything to my husband and said he took his time trying to make sure he got all the stones with laser and cleared the blockage. This place was truly amazing and I don't live here, but if I did, that's where I would go! Kudos to the "A" Team!! They fixed me right up!!!

I especially appreciated staying in her room throughout the procedure rather than waiting in a waiting room. Our main Registered Nurse, Jennifer, was amazing. She checked on me constantly while my mom was in surgery, brought me snacks, and her warm, sociable nature made us feel incredibly comfortable. Before my mother was discharged, the team ensured we had all necessary supplies and thoroughly answered all of our questions.
