First off, I'd like to say that Sher has a WONDERFUL personality! She is very personable and makes anyone feel extremely comfortable. She has bent over backwards for my wedding dress, and has made it even more beautiful than it started, which I didn't think was possible! On my second fitting, I brought along a bridesmaid and a groomsmen so they could see the dress. Not only did she also make them feel welcome and comfortable but she had them be involved in the fitting! She showed my bridesmaid how to attach the bussel and how to lace up my corset in the back. As far as quality of work goes, A+ all the way. She went above and beyond my expectations. She took out my zipper and installed a corset back into my dress. She custom made a strap for that corset so it would match the dress exactly. She installed a bussell into my dress, and did it in a way that would be easy for anyone to fix for me between the wedding ceremony and reception. And it wasn't just thrown together. She did a BEAUTIFUL job. I have to say, I was in awe when I first saw it. IT looked like a gorgeous waterfall in the back of my dress. Stunning. I am not one to usually tell her things I don't like about the dress, but she makes you feel SO comfortable, that I was open to saying what I didn't like, and she would give me a couple resolutions, tell me which one would look better, and allow me to choose which route I wanted to go. The price was the BEST price I could ask for! Her prices where the best, and i feel like I was getting more for my money! How many places can you honestly say that? If you are a person looking for her to make you look 10 times smaller than you are, or alter your appearance, she isn't for you... But if you are looking for a beautiful dress, with realistic alterations, she is definitely the person you should go to. I recommend her for EVERYONE. read more

ZERO STARS!!!! IF YOU READ ANY REVIEWS, READ THIS ONE!! I looked everywhere for the perfect wedding dress and just couldn't find it. So I bought one that had everything I was looking for, it just needed to be shortened to a "tea length " and it would have been perfect and I spent well over a thousand dollars on this dress. I met with Sher and explained everything I wanted, my time frame and that money wasn't an issue. She said not to worry she was confident in her skills and would be able to complete the job. I had a professional tailor lined up in Denver but Sher was closer. That was my first mistake. The week before I am supposed to leave for my destination wedding, I called her to find out the progress ( I had called/text a few times before this to get an idea of the progress only to get excuses as to why she hadn't started). We agreed on a day for me to come do what she called a "fitting " so she could make the last of the adjustments. I showed up and NOTHING was done to the dress. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! She explained to me that this is normal, it's how she does it! It is 4 days before I have to leave and she still had the f*king balls to say she could finish it the way I wanted it. Well I came back in 2 days and she still did NOTHING! At this point I am in literally in shock! I know I am not going to get my dream dress but I still needed it shortened. (I'm only 5'). She cut a half moon seam across the front, ruining the whole dress, after she said she could "lift the lace" from the tulle, pinning it back down once it was at the proper length, blending it with the waist seam that is hidden. (You can see a dark pink bunch of fabric in the picture at the waist where she just bunched up the fabric under the lace!) If I knew she was going to do something like this I would have never let her touch my dress. She had the nerve to ask me why I was upset!! When I explained, she said I was being disrespectful, I didn't even raise my voice! Needless to say it was still 4 inches to long. I did find a professional tailor as soon as my plane landed, he was even horrified at the work but was able to at least hide it somewhat. So unless you have money to waste, and you can handle emotional trauma AVOID THIS PLACE! I just refused to pay for the shitty work and service! It's always good practice to keep records of everything and make screenshots too. She directs you to her website to schedule your appointments and to put your instructions in, I did this and took a screenshot of it, good thing I did because she has deleted it!! I was in search of a tailor in the Kearney area to alter my suit jacket to create a better fit. A Google search revealed only a handful of businesses that performed such tailoring. Now generally I am downright skeptical of seeking out services from businesses I have never heard of nor have seen a number many positive reviews. However, this time I struck it right in finding Day Dreams Custom Sewing & Handmade Gifts. After talking to the business owner Sher on the phone and in person, I found her to be one of those delightfully positive, genuinely caring people you can only dream (pun intended) of coming across. At her business, she greeted me and went straight to work asking all the right questions, making the appropriate measurements, and pinning up the suit as I wore it to identify the necessary alterations. After returning about a week later, I tried the suit jacket back on and it was well tailored to me for a good fit. I was very satisfied with Sher and her work. These are a few of the comments I have following my experience: Comments: ---Sher is sincerely focused on creating the best custom fit for any garment you may bring her. She encourages your comments and opinions so that everything is exactly the way you want it. She even offers free fixes if something is not exactly as you want it. ---She makes all the necessary alterations, even the ones you may not have even realized needed completed. ---Her work is quality and feels as though it should last just as long as the original factory sewing if not longer. ---She asks you to set a timeframe for when you need the garment completed. I told her 2 weeks for mine and she had it done in a matter of about a week. Not only does she complete the alternations quickly, but she immediately reaches out to you to let you know it is ready for pickup. ---Pricing is reasonable also. ---Overall, if I have another garment that needs tailoring, I will use this business again. read more

TWO HORRIBLE EXPERIENCES. Won't ever be going back. I've never left a Yelp review but i don't want anyone else to waste their time. I scheduled a 45 minute sewing session. When I arrived she acted like she had no idea who I was or what I needed. I left a pair of pants with her to be hemmed because she "did't have time" to do them. I text her 7 days later and gave her 24 hour notice that I'd be coming to get the pants. She said that was fine. When I arrived the second time she answered the door "Am I expecting you?" I said "yes, I text you yesterday". She said "about what...I get so many texts." I said "about my pants". She had them in a pile of only 3 times and said "oh yeah those arent done". I really wanted to like Sherry (or Sherri, not sure how she spells it) and her business Daydream Sewing. She seemed like a nice lady, and from the amount of work I saw coming and going from her house it seems like she knows what she is doing. I dropped off a leather guncase that a friend had passed down to him from his father who has passed away, so it has sentimental value. The zipper needed replaced and it had a few other cosmetic things that needed fixed which she assured me could repair. I thought it would make a nice surprise for him. Sherry assured me she could get it done easily enough and I should expect it next Tuesday (dropped it off on Thursday). So Tuesday rolls around and I don't hear anything so I call and leave a message and send a text (like her voice message suggests you do) and a few days later she responds and says she had to order the zipper (which I assume she means to tell me that is why it is not done yet). Alright, I can understand that, no biggie. So the following Tuesday I again call, and when there is no answer I leave a message and send a text (again, as her messaging service suggests you do). I then receive a response telling me that she will call me when she is done working on it. I ask if I should expect it this week, and a single word reply; "yes". So I give it till Thursday afternoon, still not a word from Sherry, so I call/text again, and then I receive a text back (who operates a business through text messages, seriously?) "you have now annoyed me. You need to come and get your guncase today and take it somewhere else to get repaired. I have time for you to come get it between 12 and 12:30." I then tell her I am not sure why she is upset about a paying customer inquiring about when the service he is paying for on his belongings will be finished when it is approaching two weeks after the promised finish date. And to top it all off, when I stop by to pick the case up (I was on my lunchbreak) she sends her husband to the door instead of answering it herself. Poor guy. Like I said I really wanted to like Daydream sewing. Too bad. It is sad to see someone treat others with such disrespect. If you are ok with zero communication, and throwing whatever you own into a nameless void until she decides it is the time to contact you, then she can probably do the job. Like I said, all evidence seems to point to the fact that she is a good seamstress, just a bad business woman. If you expect communication, like most human beings do, then this place is not for you. It really is with a heavy heart that I must caution against working with Sherry and Daydream Sewing. No one needs to be treated that way by anyone. I took my dress to be altered and the first time she was very sincere and nice. She greeted me at the door and was very cheerful. This was my first time doing business with her and we scheduled an appointment one week after my fitting date to be picked up. I showed up one week later and she was not very nice to me because she did not have my dress finished. I was never told I was supposed to wait for a text from her. So on that day I scheduled a repickup date and it was on her day off which was very nice of her to do for me, but she was not very nice on the day I went to repickup my dress even though I drove fifty miles each time. Overall she did a very nice job on my dress, but attitude wasn't great. read more
