I agree that Dr. Woo is sweet and professional. But keep an eye on your bill! There might be unexpected charges :-(

They have provided excellent care and honor our requests when our consciences do not fully align (for example, if they recommend an x ray but we prefer to wait, they will say you can wait and do this next time also we are not fans of fluoride and they never try to coerce us like a lot of other places might). I can't say enough how much I appreciate their posture which feels they are partnering with us. Parents are welcome to go back to area where children receive care. Very honoring and respectful of the parent-child relationship. I always ask a million questions and like to learn options on things and I always feel my questions are answered with respect and kindness. We have seen all the dentists here. They are all fabulous and very knowledgeable and I would say honest in their care. They are proactive when they need to be and conservative in their approach otherwise.

I saw Dr. Christescu about two years ago for a routine exam and cleaning. During that visit, she…read moreidentified what she said was a cavity and told me it needed to be drilled and filled. When I began asking basic questions about the diagnosis and what she was seeing, the interaction felt abruptly shut down. My concerns were dismissed, and it was clear that there would be no discussion or explanation -- the recommendation was presented as final. Shortly after that, she left the room to attend to something else and did not return. That experience left me uncomfortable and uncertain. I had prepaid for two appointments, so I chose not to proceed with the filling and returned about six months later for the second visit. At that appointment, she again told me I needed invasive dental work, describing a procedure that involved drilling through one tooth to access the side of another. Once again, when I tried to ask questions and understand the reasoning, I felt there was no openness to discussion. At that point, I decided not to continue as a patient. What makes this especially troubling is what I learned later. Two years after those visits, I saw another dentist I trust and had a full exam and X-rays done. I was told I have no cavities and that no treatment is needed. If the issue identified two years ago had truly been urgent or progressive, you would reasonably expect it to be worse by now. Instead, it doesn't appear to exist at all. Dentistry involves permanent, irreversible procedures, and patients deserve clear explanations, thoughtful discussion, and a willingness to answer questions -- especially when aggressive treatment is being recommended. I'm very glad I sought a second opinion. I can't speak for anyone else's experience, but based on mine, I would strongly encourage patients to ask questions, trust their instincts, and seek a second opinion before agreeing to invasive dental work.

Our insurer told us that this procedure should have cost $900 but Airsync charged $1,800 and will not refund the difference. 2 The procedures they recommend as medically necessary ("or else your child will have speech impediments") are questionable. In addition to the tongue tie, they recommended we do lip ties and cheek ("buccal") ties as well. We spoke with a pediatric MD a month later and were told that these procedures are totally unnecessary. They also strongly recommend a procedure called Babylase where they wave an infrared laser wand attached to a mechanical cart over your baby. The stated purpose is to "loosen the fascia" but I wonder if this is really necessary. Sounds like a fancy heat lamp. Lastly, at both our consult and follow up visit, they pushed a referral to a baby chiropractor to continue to loosen up her fascia. Part of their approach was to mention our then primary care physician, "Dr. Staci also strongly recommends baby chiropracty." No thank you. 3 They take your baby back into their procedure area and do not allow you to remain with them. I don't know if that's standard or not, but it made us very uncomfortable and we were told that being present during the procedure was not allowed.

I rarely write reviews for anything but I felt the need to warn anyone considering going to this…read moreoffice, and would advise sorting reviews by newest - because you'll see that while this office had amazing reviews more than 5 years ago, the recent reviews are not positive. My experience with this office was unbelievably horrible. I came in for a tongue tie surgery and while checking in for my first appointment, I was accused of not having filled out the intake paperwork and lectured that I was going to make the appointment more difficult because I hadn't done it ahead of time. It turned out that they had spelled both my first and last name incorrectly and so they never actually sent me anything. At the appointment, after my CT scans, the assistant told me that I would need years of dental procedures amounting to about $15k or else I could have breathing issues and die prematurely. I completely lost it and was in the office sobbing. Dr Santiago said I could do a sleep study (for another $300) and after that result came back, it turned out I was breathing fine enough and didn't absolutely need any of the things they were recommending, other than the tongue tie surgery. That appointment cost $800 and it turned out that they used made up billing codes so when I submit the bill to my insurance in the hopes of getting reimbursed at least a part of it, two of the line items were denied. The office manager said she'd look into it, but despite multiple follow ups, they never corrected the bill or got back to me. This is still not resolved. I had to have a lip tie surgery before my tongue tie surgery, and at that appointment, they gave me a paper for after care instructions that was about a different surgery and then they crossed off some information. My follow up appt was a week later. The day of my follow up, they called to reschedule and moved the appointment to the next week. By then, my lip tie wasn't healing well because they hadn't provided clear instructions, but they said it could possibly still heal enough to not need another surgery to correct it. They said I needed another follow up the next week and could do my tongue tie surgery that same day. The person who examined me made that appointment. A few days before that appointment, they called to reschedule again and explained that a third party messed up the appointment, which was not true at all since it was someone in their office who had scheduled it literally in front of me. They said they could do the surgery and follow up in several weeks. By then I was so annoyed and completely lost trust in them so I told them to just refund me since I had pre-paid for the tongue tie surgery and I would find a new surgeon. I never went for my second follow up, but instead was examined by another doctor who said it probably wasn't cut deep enough and confirmed that I would need another surgery. Dr Santiago called back and said they could do the tongue tie surgery the next day after I was supposed to be scheduled, but I live 2 hours away and it was impossible to find anyone to drive me so last minute. Several weeks later they had still never refunded me for the surgery I never had, and I really didn't want to have to deal with them ever again so I submit a dispute with my credit card company. I had paid $500 for the lip tie surgery and $1000 for the tongue tie surgery as well as $38 in a separate transaction for some oral anesthetic. My bank refunded me the entire $1500 rather than just the $1000 for the tongue tie surgery. I was never refunded for the $38. This week, I received a bill for $800+ from Dr Santiago for the lip tie surgery and the anesthetic that I already paid for (and was never refunded for). On this invoice, they used a completely different procedure name and medical code than the one on the actual invoice that I paid originally. The code they used for the anesthetic was again a made up code called "Custom". The lip tie procedure was $500, not $800. They also sent a copy of the terms and conditions and highlighted my signature under agreement to pay and appointment cancellation policy. This is pretty ballsy considering they wouldn't refund me for services they never provided, and their policy is a $275 fee to patients for any appointments rescheduled or cancelled with less than 1 week notice, of which they did to me two times in 2 weeks! They then decided to charge me $850 on a completely separate credit card without my authorization!! I was happy to pay some portion of the $500 even though the office didn't actually provide all the services, but what they are doing now has to be illegal and I intend on fighting this and reporting them. I would strongly recommend looking for another surgeon, and would go as far as to say that some of their practices are medically negligent and immoral.
